Yes, I was just getting ready to post this. I got this from my aunt:
Hey, Sometimes I think small towns really do miss the boat! They put off the newspaper article because they were afraid they might get involved in a custody thing, or offend the mother. The school could not find any thing that said there was a custody problem. I think Amy's family was more proud of her than the school system!! Thank you so much, we really enjoyed reading all the e-mails (post from this thread).
I'm waiting for her to e-mail me back about the name of the newspaper, talk about offensive. The story isn't about the kid, it is about a teacher helping a soldier and the Army honoring her for it.
