Help! I've had dozens of these. They will not stop popping up. If you can help, thank you in advance. If you can't, don't feel bad I couldn't help myself.
I have literally hundreds and hundreds of cookies. I deleted all the history yesterday. I already have the latest version of Firefox.
I’ll take a peek at it but I love Firefox. Just how much I love it will be put to the test.
Gotcha, I’ll keep digging, that one was just similar.
I am logged in. I could probably use a shower though if you think it’ll help. :)
Thank you. I’ll try all that.
Start=>All Programs=>Mozilla Firefox=>Mozilla Firefox (safe mode)
If it starts and runs well, then your problem is probably one of your extensions/addons. Disable all ext/adds fire it up normal, add back the ext/adds till it craps again, showing which ext/add is the culprit. repeat safe mode to remove the offending add on.
If that is not the problem:
Start=>run=>firefox -ProfileManager
Create a new profile, log into it instead of your normal one. If it runs fine in the new profile, your profile is the problem. Save your bookmarks, then delete the old profile.
I have another send error report on my screen. I think I'm screwed for a while.
My son communicates with a girl in the Ukraine but it's usually on his computer, sometims mine.
If y'all don't hear back from me for a while, that means I'm trying to work our the problem.
I”m not sure now. The thing I looked up was for “nsbrowseropt.dll” based on the post by mnehrling, but now I see that your message was apparently different. Do you see anything about a “dll” (dynamic link library) in your error message? That would be a good clue for figuring this out.
In that case then something’s gone horribly wrong with your Firefox. It looks like (hard to tell) you have both a Yahoo and Google toolbar, no one I know with either has been problem free. I might start by killing those if you have them. If you’ve added any extensions to FF lately you might try uninstalling those in reverse order. If nothing else export your bookmarks somewhere safe and uninstall Firefox and put it on fresh and new. The error report is annoying but that’s not the actual problem, without the error report you’d still be crashing.
Here's what mine says....
AppName:firefox.exe
AppVer:1.8.20080.40413
ModVer:7.0.2600.2180
Offset:00036fa3
ModName:msvcrt.dll

Yes, dll is there. See my previous post.

Where would I find them at to uninstall them?
Thank you. I’ll go have a peek at them. *fingers crossed*
Go to Tools/ Add-ons, that will give you your list. It looks like it’s in alphabetical order so you’ll need to remember what you added last but you can uninstall them from there, at least all the ones I know about are in my list. I suppose it’s theoretically possible some might not show up there in which case you need to leave FireFox and go to your windows Control Panel, Add Remove Programs and find them there.
I followed your instructions and put it in the safe mode. I checked the extensions/addons.
I'm typing very slowly and I'm afraid to breath hard, it might send me another error message.
I'm getting off FR to see if I can come back without a problem.
Before I go out to check this. My screen looks positively neeked without google/yahoo on top of my screen. I’ve gone minimalist I guess.
