It has seemed strange to me that the Dodgers have never seen fit to build the statium all the way around, extending the left field pavilian all the way around to the right field pavilian.

Luxury boxes could be incorporated into the plan. A shopping structure could as well. That structure, if planned right, could bring people to the park every day to increase sales/revenues on the sight.

How many sell-outs do the Dodgers have during the season? They could fill the new seats quite easily for a lot of games. Well placed big screens behind the base-lines could help those in the center field pavilian see.

Leasing the boxes to corporate concernes could earn the club tens of millions of dollars in new income each year, and that doesn’t take into consideration a new mall that could in part hawk Dodger merchandise as a core feature.

Some appearances before the games could help drum up sales at that mall.

New parking would be a good deal. A football stadium would be a great idea as well, providing an intelligent design was incorporated. In fact, some configuration could probably be come up with to allow the center field pavillion to slide out to faciliate a football field.

My only hope is that they don’t make changes that will prevent future intelligent growth. Placing that parking structure just outside the stadium center outfield bleachers could do that.
