COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The Lexington County Coroner's Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred in the eastbound lane of I-26 at the 129 mile marker on Sunday evening around 6:30pm.

Coroner Harry Harman stated that 40-year-old Roderick Lee Linson, of St. Matthews, was driving his Harley Davidson motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he lost control.

I am generally in favor of letting people ride helmetless if they’re willing to accept the responsibility. (I wouldn’t do it, myself.) But while I’m glad that SC gives people that choice, man, so many people down there ride their bikes like they’re TRYING to be organ donors.
