Self | 4-13-08 | Self

Posted on 04/12/2008 11:00:39 PM PDT by UnBubba

Circuit City (NYSE: CC) is currently trading at $3.90/common share.

Goldman Sachs (GS) is acting as a financial adviser to Circuit City (CC).

Investor Mark Wattles, a holder of over 6.5% of Circuit City stock, is hounding Circuit City Executive Management to fire their CEO and Board of Directors.

The stock price has bottomed out.

The company has net book value which is 200% higher than it's market capitalization.

Circuit City is a prime target for a buy-out.

The company has very little debt and over $11 Billion in annual sales.

The company has hoards of cash and an incredible amount of untapped credit.

Circuit City has trimmed costs, has a strong working capital, and have prepared for the current economic slowdown.

What more can I say?

"If it doesn’t work out can we sue you for giving bad advice?"

Sorry. There are no guarantees on Wall Street. But, I will say this...

...I wouldn't want to be on a sinking ship with virtually everyone who responded to this thread. Remember, the time to buy is when the stock price is undervalued. Not when it is riding high. You need to take a risk in order to be rewarded. Circuit City is not CompUSA. Circuity City will rebound from this recessionary period either on its own or through a merger or buy-out.

Regards,

GXK

Watch for the stock to continue to rise as it approaches $6.00/share. It is still a good buy at $4.97/share.

Icahn is drooling at the prospect of picking up this cash rich asset on the cheap. The stock will eventually rise above $6.00/share as it approaches $7.00/share.

I am still long on Circuit City.

LOL! I see bad advice and ignorant predictions. If someone shows interest in them, the advice can go much worse!

That’s the best stock tip I’ve heard since Jim Cramer said to buy Bear Stearns.

"Blockbuster offers over $1 billion for Circuit City"

Circuit Cirty's management ... TURNED DOWN that offer! Yup, they decided that $0 was worth more than $1 Billion.

Genius!

Thanks, but I’m surprised a thread almost a year old got new responses today. Did Free Republic accidentally bring it back up on the rotation? I’ve seen that happen before.
