Strong tornadoes possible in N Texas today - 3 live video streams going today!
TornadoVideos.net ^ | April 9, 2008 | Reed Timmer

Posted on 04/09/2008 10:20:37 AM PDT by HAL9000

As a strong vort max begins to move out of the Rocky Mountain region today, wind shear and instability will be sufficient for intense supercells with the likelihood of producing tornadoes. 40 knots at 850 mb, and ENE-ly storm motions will combine to create perfect storm relative winds for strong tornadoes. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a moderate risk for today, with a hatched area for EF2-EF5 tornadoes. Tomorrow looks like a historic outbreak, so we'll be making a two-day chase out of this. We'll be using three live streaming vehicles today, and we're continue improving our setup, so hopefully we'll have more continuous live video..

Thanks for the update and prayers for everybody in Breckenridge. Just light drizzle here, nothing worth mentioning.

Not sure. Reading a chaser blog right now and they are reporting that this is a huge tornado on the ground. Got lots of friends and family very near this storm(myself included).

Thanks for the update. Injuries being reported now in Breckenridge. Stay safe folks. Getting off for a bit to get a few things taken care of around here...like tax returns and critters in before the storm hits here later...LOL.

Thanks for that info. I was just checking on a plane that was supposed to arrive at Highfill from Newark. Its was two hours late, and we still haven’t heard anything from our passenger. If I-40 is closed, that would explain it.

I can tell somebody's having "fun"

Without doubt, looking at the 4 hour loop there, I can count at least 5 events of interest that I KNOW for certain that here in Michigan would show evidence of tornado, and as many as three times that being speculative occurances.

The above image can't be trusted explicitely; clearly apparent is that the radar's "psyche" has been "hurt" by something it "seen". The specific equipment responsible for that image will soon be "rebooted" to reset its "sanity". But the image is worthy in what is implicitely being shown, i.e., general conditions with regards to just plain ol' straight line winds.

This aint over by not by a long shot of a stretch of anybody's imagination.
