The retirement dinner last night was lovely. They roasted me.
We have another funeral today. Mom’s BIL. He was in his 90s, and a WWII vet. The funeral is here in town, so I will go back to work as soon as I can.

I guess I'm guilty, too. I'm not a Catholic, either, but after 30 years of marriage to one, I came to have a lot of respect for those who truly follow the religion. So when one of the posters on this site made a remark about "the Pope stuffing the ballot box" I gave him a healthy scolding. Mea Culpa!

I didn’t realize you were having a retirement dinner last night IG. Congratulations! And thank you for all you’ve done.
Good Morning.
I did end up taking mom to the ER. Her doctor told me to, as they were swamped in the office. First nurse said her lungs were filled with fluid, 2nd nurse said she didn’t hear anything and the x-rays and blood work came back normal. She has lost her appetite and she has some other issues, but my m-i-l has the same things going on and so does hubby’s aunt. She said it’s just ‘old age’. Today I have such a sore throat I can barely swallow and my nose is stuffed up. I am sure it’s allergies. But I am to follow up with some out patient tests. I really don’t feel up to leaving my bed. (waaaaah)
To all who have been fighting colds and the flu, get well prayers are still being said.
I'll be back this afternoon. Errands then time with my Mother.
Remember, as you and others have told me, don't forget to take care of yourself, too. ((kassie))
