Rte66 has passed away

Sad to say that an active Freeper, Rte66, has passed away. I am her sister and have been a lurker for many years. At this point we don't know exactly what happened but it seems to be natural causes. Please keep her in your prayers. I will post her obit in coming days. If anyone needs more info they can email me here. A memorial service is pending. Thank you for being her "online family". This was her lifeline for many years. And thank you all so much for your help to her. She was much loved and she will be missed.

I knew she was ill, but 58 ... that's way too young. Hard to understand why she didn't have better care. I'm glad she was happy, though.

Thank you for posting Rte66's obit, seems she was as well regarded in the real world as she was in our virtual one.

I believe she was the one that introduced me to the Free Republic Prayer Room for quiet reflection.

She touched me...I miss her. We had so many laughs. She would have laughed at this...

I totaled my car last week...ran over something I shouldn’t have..busted the fuel line and whatever else is under a car..

The insurance company gave me a rental. Get this...a lady ran into the back of my rental at a stop sign today!!! Janet would have laughed with me.

I’ve had three glasses of wine trying to forget it!

Lord God, we thank your for Rte66, for Janet, and the time You gave her with us here. She was an encouragement to so many and brought joy and wit as well. We trust she is in Your everlasting arms. We rest in that trust. Lord God, comfort her family and friends. Let them feel Your touch. Carry them gently (as You do) through their grieving process. Thank You for being our HOPE!
