Rte66 has passed away

Posted on 04/06/2008 4:19:16 AM PDT by soozer47

Sad to say that an active Freeper, Rte66, has passed away. I am her sister and have been a lurker for many years. At this point we don't know exactly what happened but it seems to be natural causes. Please keep her in your prayers. I will post her obit in coming days. If anyone needs more info they can email me here. A memorial service is pending. Thank you for being her "online family". This was her lifeline for many years. And thank you all so much for your help to her. She was much loved and she will be missed.

Oh soozer, this is very sad news. Rte66 most always offered her thoughts on the sleuthing threads..which some of us are drawn too :)

I am so sorry she is gone. Thank you letting us know. This is just heart breaking.

Oh no!

We’re so sorry. Whether it was her modest and down-to-earth point of view on any thread, to having someone to commiserate with on the college football threads about the Sooners, she’ll be missed.

Thanks for the ping. That is so very sad to hear. She really was something special on the Anna threads. It would have never been as interesting without her. I’ll be thinking of her when I watch HK$ on Greta tomorrow night. May God bless her and her family.

My exact thoughts yesterday! Rte66 now KNOWS the truth about Anna and her son! Wouldn’t she like to post that scoop now!

Blessings to Rte’s family and loved ones continuously.

I don't know the origin of Rte66's screen name, but as an historical note the highway fabled in song and known as Route 66 began at the intersection of Adams St. and Michigan Ave. in "The Windy City" in 1926.
