My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Good morning everyone!

Riding Horses

I do not dare
such mighty
animals full
of power
do scare

I love to
look at them
with awe
and often
wish I had
the gall
to climb
on ones back
sit very tall
and ride the
winds above
the noise
to sit there
very poised
and show
nay, I'm not
afraid of
you at all.

Meg, this frame is so beautiful, thank you.

Glad you found music you enjoy.

Did I mention we are looking for snow tomorrow? Ugh!

Happy gardening and pruning Meg. I saw the weather channel this morning, good grief, over 2 foot of snow in MN and other states.

The Bond Between Horse And Rider

  A bond connects us
An indescribable feeling
There is a knowing trust
A distinct tingling

We both share a feeling of power
We can do no wrong
He keeps going faster
We gallop right along

We seem to share a mind
He knows the command before I speak
He knows I will be kind
And he will work his feet

His coat looks so beautiful
Mixed in with the green plain
Those flowers make it so colourful
Weaved in with the grain

There is no other emotion
To overtake such feeling
Maybe it is the motion
That brings the tingling

Yet what I think it is
Is the love I have for him
That makes it more powerful
The bond between a horse and rider.

A recent Scottish immigrant attends his first baseball game in his new country and after a base hit he hears the fans roaring run....run! The next batter connects heavily with the ball and the Scotsman stands up and roars with the crowd in his thick accent: "R-r-run ya bahstard, r-run will ya!" A third batter slams a hit and again the Scotsman, obviously pleased with his knowledge of the game, screams "R-r-run ya bahstard, r-r-run will ya!" The next batter held his swing at three and two and as the ump calls a walk the Scotsman stands up yelling "R-r-run ya bahstard, r-r-run!" All the surrounding fans giggle quietly and he sits down confused.

A friendly fan, sensing his embarrassment whisper, "He doesn't have to run, he's got four balls." After this explanation the Scotsman stands up in disbelief and
screams, "Walk with pr-r-ride man! Walk with pr-r-ride!!!!"

The Psalms 121

The LORD Is Thy Keeper

A Song of degrees.

1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the LORD,
which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:
he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel
shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD is thy keeper:
the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite thee by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil:
he shall preserve thy soul.
8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in
from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Good morning everyone.

Sonnet XX
by William Shakespeare

A woman's face with Nature's own hand painted
Hast thou, the master-mistress of my passion;
A woman's gentle heart, but not acquainted
With shifting change, as is false women's fashion;
An eye more bright than theirs, less false in rolling,
Gilding the object whereupon it gazeth;
A man in hue, all 'hues' in his controlling,
Much steals men's eyes and women's souls amazeth.
And for a woman wert thou first created;
Till Nature, as she wrought thee, fell a-doting,
And by addition me of thee defeated,
By adding one thing to my purpose nothing.
But since she prick'd thee out for women's pleasure,
Mine be thy love and thy love's use their treasure.
