My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

We were all ready for the day, preflight turns done, etc, gonna have a nice parade flyby.
Sounds like (from news) 3 of them were killed, none of the good guys, but way early to know for sure.

Jeez...the best laid plans. Glad you are safe at “home”, even if you are stuck in meetings. How is the teaching coming along?

Teaching is coming along, tools rolling in slowly, flights are increasing in number - progress!
Baby steps are still movement in the right direction.
Funny patch here worn by civilians says YCMTSU (You Can't Make This "Stuff" Up). Our Colonel saw it, laughed and made a presentation to the General that says WAMTSU (We Are Making This "Stuff" Up) to show how we're finding ways to get stuff done from the ground up.

Well, I do recall something about wanting an “adventure”.
Going by the book and making progress is a good thing, considering the “tools”, or lack thereof, you have. Making progress from the ground up should carry a huge sense of satisfaction when you succeed, regardless of the size of the step.

Good morning Lairites Hope that all rested comfortably and are looking forward to what the rest of the day will bring. Todays virtual menu starts a little differently because most Lairites arise later in the day:
- Mimosa (Orange juice and Champagne)
- Crepe Suzettes with fruit jam filling
- Fried eggs to order
- Fried Pork chops
- Country fried potatoes
- 7 Grain, Whole wheat and White bread for toast
- Creamery whipped butter
- Assorted dry cereals
- Seedless Green and Red Grapes
- Assorted flavored yogurt
- Ambrosia
- White milk
- Dark and rich Columbian coffee
Enjoy,
Chef Tude

And it does. Frustrations are well worth it, since in the end we're here to make them self-sufficient. And they are getting stronger and stronger.
Case in point: parade practices starting at 0500, well before the buses run. They worked around it - without our help - and made them happen. When they want to, they can do mission planning, logistics support arrangements, bla bla bla. They can do it all.
Right now they enjoy the ability to lean on us, and every so often pulling the supportive shoulder away and forcing them to do it on their own seems to pay off. Baby steps, and eventual leaps. They're coming along...
I LOVE this!

Okay technically, it was NOT R&R, it was "work". No, really! But yeah, I'd go back tomorrow. My plan is at least a visit within 2 years, perhaps retirement there...

Oh dude ‘Tude, feed me please. I skipped dinner. But me and the Ukranian techs here got some snacks on. They know I love that place, and taught me how to dial correctly to talk to friends left back in Kremenchuk. Yessir, I could honestly live there happily.

Good Sunday Morning to The Lair.
To Nature
It may indeed be phantasy, when I Essay to draw from all created things Deep, heartfelt, inward joy that closely clings; And trace in leaves and flowers that round me lie Lessons of love and earnest piety. So let it be ; and if the wide world rings In mock of this belief, it brings Nor fear, nor grief, nor vain perplexity. So will I build my altar in the fields, And the blue sky my fretted dome shall be, And the sweet fragrance that the wild flower yields Shall be the incense I will yield to Thee, Thee only God ! and thou shalt not despise Even me, the priest of this poor sacrifice
