I prefer libraries that have resident cats rather than visiting pervs.
That’s just me.

When I clicked on the article, I was really expecting this to involve porn use on an unfiltered Internet. But he's even sicker than that.
Also, whoever put "nothingbutnet" in the key words owes me a new keyboard. Coffee everywhere...

LOL! But thats okay, the ALA (American Library Association) will tell you he was really using the institution just as Carnegie had always wanted it to be used, and if you dont like it, why youre just a fuddy-duddy, unable to understand the demands of modern librarianship. One of which is apparently to keep a towel on hand at all times. Yuck. You know how we cured that problem here in Freeport? A trio of good friends of mine (including Freeper believer1) got time before the library board (which had been quite hostile to the idea of filtering), brought in a computer and hooked it up to the Internet. Then they took a couple of common girl's names and said, "let's say little [name deleted] and [name deleted] decide to check if there's a website for their name--you know, like www.[namedeleted].com." Then they put in that address, and sure enough, it was a porn site. At one point during the demonstration, there were so many pop-ups on the screen, each with pornographic content, that they had to unplug the thing to get it to stop.
A reporter from the local daily was sitting there watching it all. The board voted for filtering. :-)
By the way, when I say "we" I mean in the community sense...I wasn't in on this op but I'm sure glad they did it!

I don't know why they're charging him.

A similar incident occurred on March 21 on the second-floor landing of McElwain Hall's main stairwell between 8 and 8:15 p.m, when police said a man entered the building behind the woman and followed her to the stairwell landing where he began to masturbate. A similar description of the man was given in both incidents, police said. No charges have been filed for the McElwain Hall incident.Sounds like this guy is a real jerkoff.
