I only had it on for about a minute. He was talking about America needing to lead the way on nuclear disarmament.
I turned it off and walked away.

Just McCain being McCain. It’s what the media and the GOP and the democrats want, peasant. Who are we to question such authority?

After listening to that dreadful speech, Cindy ought to pass out a free case to every conservative.
Maybe I will try that election day. LOL

“”We need to listen—WE NEED TO LISTEN—to the views and respect the collective will of our democratic allies,” McCain said. “When we believe international action is necessary, whether military, economic, or diplomatic, we will try to persuade our friends that we are right. But we, in return, must be willing to be persuaded by them.””
Does this mean when (not if) we’re attacted, we must get permission before we defend ourselves?

It’s not enough that he wants to kiss up to liberals in our own gov’t. He’s already puckering up to do the same thing around the world.

...so, if we are right and other nations will not be persuaded to do what is right...then we do nothing, or do what is wrong so we can show that we are willing to be persuaded by them?

I wish he’d made this speech before the primaries. But, hey, maybe this is what 39% of the voters want.

Then you do not realize that Kerry is for cut and run in Iraq. McCain, of course, is not for that. Also, McCain is pro Israel while Kerry certainly is not.

But, now if our allies want us to leave Iraq, do we leave because we can’t convince them otherwise? And the same with our pro-Israel stance? Do we change because they don’t agree? Questions, questions.

Not much to discuss. Indeed, we are screwed. We really need to look to the future. We really need to look at a viable candidate for 2012...groom him, encourage him, make sure he (or SHE) keeps their nose clean and adheres to a conservative platform. Suggestions?
