Heh heh.

Some experts fear this mock violence may soon escalate into actual bloodshed. "When it comes to deep seeded traditions and beliefs, emotion could overcome common sense." said Edward Cullhagy, professor of Inter-Cultural Technology at Howyflyl University.

The writing is particularly good.

The protest took an ugly turn when several young men paraded a life sized replica of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh through the crowd. Angry programmers - some as young as 13 - proceeded to beat the mannequin mercilessly with C++ manuals, then set it ablaze as the throng cheered on.

With my previous company, I and the only other U.S. citizen programmer were fired from our jobs because of this situation.

That company hired programmers from both India and Russia.

A year later, the company closed down because they could never get the software to work. They had fired the only two people that understood the problem!

Sounds like Dell’s tech help. I would rather buy a new computer than call their technical support. Yet McCain loves NAFTA.

first people blame mexico for stealing jobs, then canada...nobody wants to blame themselves for not being able to compete with the rest of the world.

As mentioned before, I worked for a major DoD contractor. I read one of their newsletters before I laid off and it mentioned they are sending a lot of work over to India now. I don't know how they get around the security clearance type of laws but I am concerned. I am sure with an across the board democrat gov't coming in November, it will happen much more. We are the only country in the world that will not defend our own workers and in fact, sell them out.

Last night, I was talking with some people and one of the things that come in mind is how customer service really sucks ! Go to any store, there is no one to help you on the floor, when you get ready to pay for the items and get out, there are one or two lines open and the checkout line is very long. Wal-Mart is a good example and one of the reasons I will not shop there. I have been to New Zealand and Japan and I found customer service at their stores (not Wal-Mart) were pretty good especially in Japan. I have been to the Tokyu Dept Store which is the same company that runs the trains and their service was pretty good. A lot of help and the prices were reasonable. In my opinion, until service improves, the executive salaries can be used to hire better help which will get better business, therefore better value for shareholders. These executives and their rubber stamp boards need to be run out of town.
