With frizzy red hair, milky white skin and a dusting of freckles, Nicole Kidman was never considered a conventional Hollywood beauty.
But she is now. And as well as a smooth golden hairstyle and perfect skin she has a freeze-frame face, free of even the faintest expression lines.
Not that cosmetic surgeons are lining up to take the credit. One claimed her unfortunate "bat face" look was putting other women off cosmetic treatments.
The 40-year-old Academy Award winner is so "over-Botoxed" she is giving the industry a bad name, Dr Martin Braun told a conference of medical experts.
Miss Kidman has always denied using Botox injections. "I am completely natural," she said in a recent magazine interview. "I have nothing in my face or anything."

But Dr Braun, who runs the biggest Botox clinic in Canada, was convinced Miss Kidman had been an "enthusiastic user".
Botox paralyses facial muscles for between four and six months, softening the appearance of any wrinkles.
"Nicole seems to get her Botox done two or three weeks before a big event, so when she for instance, goes up on stage to collect her Academy Award she looks frozen and strange," Dr Braun told a cosmetic medicine conference in Queensland, Australia.
"She looks like a bat with too much of an (outer) brow lift. The middle of the brow's been dropped. She's crying when she accepts her Oscar, but nothing is moving."
Dr Braun claimed users should be injected two to three months before a big event to allow the effect of the drug to wear off. Actors in particular should use a minimal amount of the product.
He effectively blamed Miss Kidman and other stars for undermining his business.
"That's really doing nothing to help our job because we've got women coming to us saying: 'That's what we don't want to look like'," he said.
After the conference Dr Gabrielle Caswell, from the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australasia, said she believed Miss Kidman had stopped using Botox in pregnancy. She is expecting a baby in the summer.
"She was using a little too much, especially in the forehead," said Dr Caswell. "Obviously she's not at the moment because she's pregnant; the photos show a lot more expression."
Last night, a spokesman for Miss Kidman said she had no comment.
Hollywood gossip websites have speculated that celebrities such as Celine Dion, Madonna, Cher and Sylvester Stallone have been injected with botox but only a few admit it - including veteran comedienne Joan Rivers.
Sir Cliff Richard has also admitting trying it, but giving it up after his eyebrows "seemed to drop and I didn't like the look of it."

Before: pretty to look at.
After: pretty hard to look at.
Hollywood already has a bad name. Anyone who is anyone or not anyone in Hollywood has something done to themselves. And if they say they aren’t; they are lying.
Lord, if they didn’t; they would be just like us. LOL
She is looking like a blond Asian.
Says Repo (who will be 40 this year!)
John Kerry must have had his share of Botox. His face changed also in color during the 2004 elections.
The big question!
If she got a job on FOX, would they be able to rearrange that visage to where people don’t throw up when looking at it?
I fell in love with her while watching “Pratical Magic” and have never look back!
thought the frizzy-headed, milky-skinned, freckled Kidman was gorgeous!
AGREED
She sure looks good in this music video with Robbie Williams.... They sing “Something Stupid” better than the Sinatras.

LOL.
She’s still a beautiful woman, just that she needs to slow up on the Botox and let her forehead actually move. This Dr cracks me up, talking about Kidman scaring patients away. The likes of Michael Jackson, Joan Rivers, Cher, Tara Reid, Melanie Griffith and all these humongous lips walking around would scare me more.
That Bat is kind of cute, looks like my Terreir
Aren’t you being racist or sumthin by admiring one of the whitest women on the planet?
: )
