Ive seen that movie. I hated it.
Agreed, I'm not fond of that movie, either. It's obvious that it's a liberal screed movie since they made Harry a vegetarian. Any story that deals with the diet of a bigfoot, shows them to be omnivores, and more often than not, carnivores.

Worse, they made it into a tv series that was worse than the movie, but just as politically correct. In one episode, some Indian guy comes to the house and the little kid points to him annd exclaims, “It’s an Indian!” Then he promptly corrects himself, “Uhhh, Native American.”

The one problem I have with the Copalis Beach story is, by the writers own word it's “third hand information, and it happened close to forty years ago, so it is really nothing more than good, spooky story.” And it is a great story indeed, and I can't help but get chills up my spine when I read it. But there seems to be too much detail for a third hand story 40 years old. I could not recall that much detail “first hand” about important events in my life that happened only a couple of years ago.
If the story is true, then wow! what an terrifying event - like being in the middle of a real life horror movie. If its not true, then someone is waisting their talent and really should be writing books.

You hated Harry & the Hendersons” ? I thought it was a good movie. Not a great movie, but a fun family film, and the makeup and costume on Harry was unbelievable.

MAYBE “hate” is too strong a word. Didnt like it, didnt care for it. Its one of those movies you see, then dont really need to see again.

If its not true, then someone is waisting their talent and really should be writing books. The guy who wrote this back in 2004, came back last month to the message board to say this, among other things:
"The Cowman of Copalis Beach is being published in a compendium of Bigfoot tales by an author named Linda Coil. I gave her the the one time use rights to publish the story in her upcoming book. I am currently working on turning the story into a screenplay."

I've read this one before. Very spooky story.
If you want to have some real fun, search for "bigfoot" on youtube.

“turning the story into a screenplay”
It would make a great movie. Unless it gets destroyed by the Hollywood moguls. As a Bigfoot enthusiast, I have had my hopes high on more than a few “in production” Sasquatch movies only to walk away from the theater feeling cheated and ripped off by another poorly done B-movie.
