Patrick Swayze was told that he has five weeks to live after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Swayze, 55, has been sick with the disease since he was diagnosed in late January with pancreatic cancer, but the cancer has since spread to other organs and now the Dirty Dancing star is dying.
For the past month, Swayze has been traveling to Stanford Universitys cancer center for radical chemotherapy, but his doctors are no longer hopeful that the treatments will be successful, according to the National Enquirer.
Swayze received three doses of chemotherapy, causing the tumor to shrink, but less than his doctors had hoped for.
Swayze has reportedly lost more than 20 pounds in the past few weeks and is restricted to a liquid diet because he has trouble keeping down solid food.

My prayers to Mr. Swayze and his family
Sad News.
“WOLVERINES!”
probably had a drain placed I am thinking...
Sad news. Roadhouse will always be a fave.
The horror of cancer is that it really drains the family of life before killing someone. You are almost grateful when the time comes. Prayers for your family and all of the families who have to go through this. My dad pasted away with Leukemia, it’s very hard.
Patrick Swayze was a class act ~ one of the Hollywood crowd that one never heard about sleazy behavior. My prayers are going to THE SOURCE for him and his family.
I have always thought that Ghost is one of the few “chick-flicks” that is watchable by a guy, simply for the supernatural aspect of it. We guys can argue about whether a ghost would really be able to move a penny, and that sort of thing.
Sad to see Swayze dying. He was awesome in Red Dawn, too. :-(

Demi Moore was hot in that movie.
Picture taken in front of Planet Hollywood is Nov 2007.

The original photo of Obama in a turban came from a tabloid too. It was there ahead of Drudge.
“Ghost” is the only Demi Moore performance I’ve ever liked.
I thought Patrick Swayze was good in “Next of Kin.”
there is a difference in the photos in 2006 versus 2007 that looks like more than just another added year. I can’t link them because they are on pay for photos sites but it looks like the haggard look of something going on in the body was happening.
Nah, her hair was too short.
Surprised there’s no comments on that site yet.
Too bad really, since the Enquirer has a better track record for accuracy than virtually every other news source, and has since at least the first OJ trial. People seem to have missed that the lawsuits in the 80’s resulted in major changes in how the Enquirer sources stories and investigates its sources. I had a friend provide them a very solid news tip and you would be amazed what they go through to verify the stories.
What they report is primarily fluff, but it is pretty accurate fluff.
If I right-click on a photo and can’t copy the URL, I’ll do a screen-capture and then crop and upload to TinyPic. That’s always a solution.
Sad news. I met him once. Nice guy.
So sad. Didn’t Michael Landon die of the same cancer? He went quick once told of the cancer.
