My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Speculate

I spent the morning in speculation
if Elliot was going to abort his mission
his future as Gov, had been already
pondered, the Pubbies had declared
be gone Elliot or be impeached

Elliot thought his can was wrought
so under counsel, he thought, best
speculate and count the loss

He tossed a coin, which landed tails
up - so apropos for Elliot’s position
so Ol Governor Spitzer, combed his hair
put on clean under ware and waited for
the State SUV!

The long slow ride down through Manhattan
his long suffering wife by his side
Elliot crunched up his face
to go down in disgrace, before
his ace card was blown out of the water.

So far his ass is saved, but the Mann Act
may be what glues Elliot to the tree
and a 6X6 cell, without an ocean breeze.

How much of a clue should such a man need,
Who has stricken down all his foes?
