                   My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Here we have NYAttiude the Lair Chef,
TongueTied, the Lair Bartender!
WayzataJohnn, a cowboy Poet in residence
Tomkow6, a Cubbie Fan most prominent!
An eclectic group gathers here
all artists of one sort or another
Lady Jag, whose sense of humor
grabs one- using puns and graphics
all in fun!
Meg whose beautiful framed pictures
brings beauty for our eyes
from birds to warm fire places
a little vase of Pansies, a warm kitten
all snuggly, and trees, many trees
with butterflies in an afternoon breeze.
Cans of Lard, for a twist on the Lair
Tomkow’s humorous contribution -
one of his minds dreamed that up
probably the one in it’s cups
we are never sure with Tomkow
which one is thinking, or acting up!
So here is a slice of daily life
as it has come to be in The Lair!!

Meg, we are having a warm up day! Temp is 36 degrees, the workers are out there hammering away, replacing old boards suffering from dry rot.
Tonight and tomorrow are plunging back into cold temps with snow and rain. Enjoy when we can right?

When the waving heavens are soft Cool inside the birth of green And the snowdrops filter Through the blades and leaves
Budding and leafing A rosy reflectiona mist of chill, A pillow of muse in all its glory And glistening, never blinding A fading, a release, A relinquishing on all That is cold and vacant. When the birds are plump And wild with nature Seeking a link of rebirth.
Early spring, when the World reopens to your embrace And there is no need for cover, For protection All you need is one smile And muse to live. Early spring: when birth Is a little gold, a little white.

    Afternoon, tomkow! (Nighttime here now.)
Yes, the sandstorm is still blowing out there. I just showered a portion of the Arabian Desert out of my hair, eyes and skin.
I really do love this place. :)

NYA has photos of you and posts them? Naw, I’m too gullible to believe it.

    Oh well, I tried.
Actually that guy is a composite of NYA, Me, and some guy we found passed out in the bar. (Sadly most gals think the composite is cuter! sigh!)

Now you know what I look like, so don’t take anything NYA hands out without a comparison of face, DNA, or that funny little number they give you to hold up.

Sometimes when we go up Mt. Washington on a warm spring day we run into snow and ice at the summit. Rime ice can be wild and I have a great shot of a sign with the ice standing straight out horizontal for about ten inches.
Rime, also known as pogonip, ice is often horizontal and milky looking and forms on the windward side of objects. It makes for some wild photography. Here are three examples of this cool stuff:
