My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

On any other day but St. Paddy's, the last bloke'd be Scot.
An Irishman, Englishman and Scotsman go into a pub and each order a
pint of Guinness. Just as the bartender hands them over, three flies
buzz down and one lands in each of the pints. The Englishman looks
disgusted, pushes his pint away and demands another pint. The
Scotsman picks out the fly, shrugs, and takes a long swallow. The
Irishman reaches in to the glass, pinches the fly between his fingers
and shakes him while yelling, Spit it out, ya bastard! Spit it out!"

Good morning everyone!
Flowers have spoken to me more than I can tell in written words.
They are the hieroglyphics of angels,
loved by all men for the beauty of their character,
though few can decipher even fragments of their meaning.

Their vine is not my vine
So you really think it a shortcut do ya?
Only if sheol was your home
Me, I’m not thinking I’m Romeo
And all the ladies just leave me alone
And tell me, Do you really think he was wise
He was writing to you from his hell
Had all he could have and it wasn’t enough
Like being soulless in the depths of a well
But yet he wrote, but how many heard
And how many still run to their way
All bad things have to come to an end
Like the earth has to turn night unto day
All you that forgot your first love, your God
And worshiped the work of your hands
See if they can save you now
I see that so few understand
All the kingdoms of glory beneath contempt
All offered for just one life and soul
What will you have when you lose it to them
When it’s gone and you’re helpless in sheol
Confound their language, scatter them far
Cause them to not find the door
Their evil is full, recover the wool
So they see that they’ve started a war
Another earth, another heaven
But I need me some vengeance first
Some want power, glory, riches
Only vengeance can quench this thirst

Hello, freedom9, welcome to The Dragonflies’ Lair.
Thanks for the poem, interesting.

The weather is not so bad here. Looks like we are in for rain and I did see a possible flooding alert.
Nothing to worry about for me. Our temps are nearing the 40s so we have warmed up.
