Thank you! I do love to do “snow” pictures..
We had a record breaking snow here last April..I was like a kid..running from front to back..sliding door to sliding door..waiting to see if those huge flakes would ever “stick”. It really started coming down and finally hit freezing just long enough to have a nice frosting on everything ..It was so much fun..Like you ..I don’t want it to last too long.
Well, I am truly impressed (and hungry now, too!). I don't grow edibles, except navel oranges, lemons and ruby red grapefruit. I do love to grow flowers though. They are food for the spirit.
It's only 9:00 AM here, so I think I will have a waffle and plan a salad, with store bought greens, for lunch. It really does sound good.
Have I asked you, how do you like Vista? I have talked to so many people about it, I can’t remember if I got your opinion on it or not.
** smile **
Thank you, Jaycee!
LOL. I remember as a child, when we lived back east, waiting for the first snowfall. I would stare up into the street light out my bedroom window, straining to see if snow was falling. Sometimes I would look so hard I could "see" it, even though not a flake had fallen. Then, when it finally did snow, I would hope and hope that enough would come down to cause school to be canceled. Snow days were the best days EVER. Wonderful memories.
Mine is confined between the house and a sidewalk..and it gives foliage all year round and nice color fall through early spring with the berries but I have a constant job of trimming to do all summer into fall..
I have done one hedge..must do the other. I am dreading it! I have learned a new trick..I reach in and snap off new growth instead of trimming it in the summer ..Much easier to get what I am aiming for.. I, of course, can’t do that for heavy pruning.
I think I’ll go out now and do one fourth of it today..It’s going to look so ugly for awhile.

My boss, great man that he is, put in a small kitchen. We keep adding things—electric skillet, deep fryer, etc. You’d be amazed what we can whip up in there with limited appliances and space! I don’t hear him complaining any!
Here’s a favorite poem of mine—NOT mine—and I don’t know where I got it, but I love it, and most important—I can remember it!
The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,
One is nearer God’s heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth.
Citrus fruit! I’m jealous! Just a little too cold here to do citrus and a little too warm to grow any other good fruit without spraying constantly.
I could sit here and play all day, but I have a nail appointment and some errands to run. I will try to get back here later this afternoon.
Have a great day! TTYL
Sorry that you need to leave, Lori.
I’m kinda slow getting pings answered this morning.
Hope to see you later today. I may catch up by then. : ^ )
Hi Jaycee.
I thought the girls were so cute. I’m glad I received it soon enough to use on National Anthem Day.
Nail appt! Good for you. I can’t imagine—mine look worse than an unkempt child’s. Love working in the greenhouse, but it’s murder on your hands.
Hey—the horse pic. Are those bluebonnets? Beautiful, whatever they are.
I don’t think I mind Vista, except for the constant updates.
My biggest complaint is having to replace all of my software. I still need to get photo editing software.
It is miserable to jump between two computers. Most of the time, I use Marissa’s. It has JASC Paint Shop Pro and XP. What more could I ask for?
; ~ )
Thanks, and thanks for the graphic! I am having a ball here—and in my greenhouse. Y’all should check out the weekly gardening thread—Gabz is in charge—I contribute. :)
I work at a small garden center—manage the greenhouse. Love it!
