excerpted from medhelp;
Low oxygen content of the blood can cause blue lips. This can be due to low counts or due to problems with oxygenation of the blood. It would be interesting to know what your blood oxygen saturation is during the episodes. Do they last for very long? If so then your brother may have time to come over to your house to check with a saturation monitor (many EMTs have this equipment). If it is low then your doctor would have to look for sources of low oxygen such as blood clots, sickle cell disease or other hemoglobin abnormalities. A hematologist could check for these various disorders.

Of course, that was supposed to be ‘ping’. Need coffee.
I disagree.
When a person has a blueish tint to their lips it can be an indication of health issues.
Sometimes it is is related to the heart, maybe lung (breathing problems ie asthma), it could be blood issues (anemia and such).
from day one, i thought there was something rather, er, feminine about obama....
do you think he and larry s. had a thing going? seems plausible to me.
Why don’t you do some research and report back. Until then, keep you lips (and fingers), whatever color they are, closed.
MEOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
An African-American friend explained that this is a tell-tale sign that he is a smoker.
IBTZ!!!!
He doesn’t secretly smoke. He smokes.
Whatever.
Might be related to his 29 years of smoking.
Then you don't know anything. I wasn't bringing race into this. I was bringing health.
Your response makes you seem like a racist. I feel sorry for you.
I was wondering about Addison’s Disease.
Does anyone know if Hillary smokes? Just look at her teeth.
>I was wondering about Addisons Disease.<
Me too.
Another possible “claim” to JFK-ness.
Don’t feel sorry for me, I’m voting for him, you’re the one pointing out stupid things about his pigmentation while masking it as concern for his health.
Hello....
Silver in the ionic (free ion) form is a very potent
antibacterial. Silver also binds to tissue proteins...
so he has essentially turned himself into a
silver laden organism. It would be interesting to see
if he ever develops a BACTERIAL infection. The question
also would be, does silver(when bound to tissue) have
any bacterial action? It has to be free to disrupt
bacterial life cycles...so just having it in your
body may not be a guarantee of effectiveness...also, what
will it do to his immune system???
One might want to look at the nail beds of BHO also, with
cyanosis, they can turn blue...Also the shape of the beds
might change with some types of heart ailments...
Where, Madge, now that we need her?
(Palmolive manicurist) for those not in my age group.
Hmmmmm. . .never thought about it being a health issue, but I do think his lips are a very strange color.
