Rush Limbaugh Show

For more than 12 years we listened to Rush every day at our families software business.
I distinctly remember hearing a call from a female who asked if there was a Mr. Snerdly.
Rush said that he was made up and that he was merely an alter ego for bouncing ideas off of himself,
Like Rush was being his own Devil's advocate.
Someone has told me that they have actually heard Mr. Snerdly speaking on air.
I know the person who told me that is a certifiable flake, but am I losing my mind? Thanks.

Not bad.
We also did the same thing with our accounts payable. One of the names we used was Bill Payer.

Yes there really is a Bo Snerdly, it is the on air identity of James Golden who when he was in New York also had his own radio show. When Steve Malzberg was on WABC I ran his website (Steve's that is), his wife Marie Malzberg at that time also worked as a screener for Rush. When James briefly left the show to work at the online radio experiment at Talkspot.com most of us followed him there. James was instrumental in getting Steve a spot of the fledgling online network's schedule. With the breakup of Talkspot James moved to Maryland where he did media consulting for a while. Iran a website called constitutiontalk.com at that time and James would come up to our barbecues which we held in New Jersey. When Rush began having hearing problems he called James to come back and help him figure out a way to do the show despite his hearing loss. James has been bac kwith Rush since that time and now Lives in Palm Beach, Florida.
James Golden (aka Bo Snerdly) and the Late FReeper Pretty in Pink trade barbs at one of our barbecues.

Are you implying that the local radio personality Big D—k Hunter is not using his real name?
To: CrimsonDynamo
I thought Snerdly was really Brian, one of the Limbaugh staffers.

The traffic reporter for several of the stations here in ABQ is a lady that goes by Helen Wheels. We used to have one named Alaine Closure.

Snerdly is whoever the call screener is that day.
Bo Snerdly is James Golden, who is more than a screener. He’s actually Rush’s friend. He returned to the show and stuck through Rush’s deafness, the Donovan McNabb thing, the drug addiction, and the divorce.

A friend of mine does traffic watch in my area, and I’ll catch his reports on half a dozen stations, all different names. I actually used my own name when I was in radio ... well, except for those couple of years in college when I also did a dance music show (ok, disco), and I didn’t use my real name so my jazz show listeners wouldn’t riot outside the station. :-)

Snerdly, HR, all those characters in Rushs orbit are actual people; but not the same people. Many folks have worked under those names. Sort of like the “Straight Dope” column has always been written by “Cecil Adams,” which is the nom de plume adopted by the several different people who’ve done the actual writing.

I was there too and met Bo and both of you lovely ladies. That was a great weekend.
