So, with gasolene prices bobbing up and down. And the economy also bobbing! When and what will it take to get rel action n Aternative energy?Nikola tesla(1856-1943) had the answer more then a 100 years ago!That of broadcasting wirelessly eletric power! He even set up a braodcasting tower for this at Wardecylle,Long Island(Now Shoreham, L.I.) But when he mentioned FREE ELECTRIOC POWER to hs financial backer the great Robber Baron J.P. Morga. Whos meatered eletric power intreste would have been ruined. The money was removed and Tesla went into a life long debt!To honor Dr. Tesla in 2005 and 2006 I organized the GLOBAL ENERGY INDPENDENCE DAY held every July 10th the birthdate anniversary of Dr tesla. Won’t do anything to gas prices, or taxes in NY or NJ though.
And it didn’t producec free energy by any means.
It had to have a source before it could emit energy for use.

"It had to have a source before it could emit energy for use." True, but the article references using the radiated power from high-voltage lines to activate essentially dead fluorescent tubes. They would glow with cold light.
Zombie lights, Dude! -- I think it's worth something.
The power companies don't like it because it is a drag on their systems. An unmetered drag on their systems.
You might get it for free, but they have to plow through your inductance traps.
If I were a farmer in this position, I'd bury the trap under the plowed soil. (Try not to be greedy. It tends to show.)

"I thought kids hovered and hummed naturally." The humming I had no trouble with, but the hovering was only good for going down stairs.
I practiced levitating in my dreams, but somehow it didn't work the same way with my eyes open.

Tesla was onto something but like all things he neglected, at the time, to consider the risks to living creatures by sending electricity through the air. It is not a totally safe concept.
Also, how are you going to power such a project? Nukes?
