BTW, I was just listening to Ann's talk to YAF, 500 yards from CPAC. She said Romney gave many speeches like the one he gave about religious liberty and at CPAC the other evening, but the media didn't cover them - a fact we sometimes forget which deserves our consideration.

Also, she sure loves Mitt! : )

The ridiculous hate and vitriol that is being spread on this thread that some feel the need to inject, despite the thread having nothing to do with politics, and everything to do with showing appreciation to someone who kept those of us who chose to be informed about a campaign, informed speaks volumes about those who chose to inject this hatefulness here.

Again, Reaganesque, I want to thank you so very much for the service you provided and I want to apologize for the cruelty you had to endure for making a decision to support your candidate. It's almost as though we live in a democracy...sometimes. ;).

Gentlemen, and Women of High Standing, it is imperative that we debrief and vet this campaign - what was done right, and what was done poorly.

Mitt has a bright future if we approach this topic honestly and stridently report the results to Mitt and his family.

After Mitt lost Iowa, and his young paid staff moved on to Florida, I sat in a meeting and pointedly asked, “Do we know why we lost in Iowa, and are you confident that the feedback mechanisms are in place that will allow us to adjust what we are doing to better secure a win here in Florida? “Oh, yes, we lost because...(blah, blah) and we are certainly going to do things different and better.”

These were energetic young people who only wanted to work hard and do the right things to win, but they had no idea what I was talking about. And even less of an idea of how to correct in real time to better present Mitt to the people of Florida. We lost Florida in the last 72 hours.

I am of the opinion that the upper echelon paid staff that insulated Mitt from the public bear a large burden of responsibility for all those things that contributed to the public perception of Mitt as a “phony” and they had no idea of how break down those barriers, because breaking those barriers would mean a loss of their influence.

I would suggest a google doc, that people could share access to for input.
