They just foreclosed upon The Patriots subprime mortgage and evicted them from Mercury Morris's block.

Terry Bradshaw also has a record of 4-0 in Super Bowl play.

Yeah, but. . .

On a side when are your 49er’s going to get a QB. I had high hopes for another Bay City air show but it doesn’t appear to be happening? Any trades in the works>

I wish that were our worst problem. We need a new owner first and a new coach second. After that we can start looking for players to fill the gaping holes on our team (QB, WR, OL, DL, etc.)

Much like the Republican party, the 49ers are toast for the forseeable future.

LOL! So true about Morris.

As a Jets fan, I was supposed to root against the Giants - but the fact that the Patriots blatantly and unapologetically cheated against the Jets early on soured me on them - and their anointed status exacerbated my distaste.

After the disgraceful way the Patriots acquitted themselves, it's almost worth it to hear the boasting from Giants fans all next season.

Watch for Pats, Colts, and Cowboys to be good a couple of years the drop.

The Colts have a cap problem right now, and it will likely hit them in the next couple of years. However, as long as Bill Polian is still in charge, I except the Colts to be among the best teams in the league. Polian is the best personnel man in the league, and maybe ever. There is only one Colts player that is irreplaceable; as long as Manning is around, the Colts will be among the top teams in the AFC. Polian can replace any other player on the roster.

This isn't to say that some aren't more difficult to replace than others--Jeff Saturday, for instance, comes to mind as an extremely important player--but it can be done.

How many records does Montana have other than his super bowl victories?

Favre is by far the best ever to play that position.

Favre is certainly one of the greats and his durability alone should keep him in contention for the "best ever" tag but Favre has thrown more interceptions than any other QB and he's lost Super Bowls and only won one.

He is second to Montana in pass completions, passing touchdowns, passing yards and passing attempts in the playoffs.

Joe has more Super Bowl MVP awards than Favre has Super Bowl appearances.

Favre has great instincts, great moves and is exciting to watch, but in the end it's really no contest.

Joe Montana is clearly the best QB ever to play the game.

I have been to a lot of places and usually held that NYC and the NE had the most obnoxious folks, but sad to say as a Texan, Cowboy fans now own that distinction.

Have you ever been to a Raiders game in an opposing jersey?

Wait. Stupid question. Of course you haven't if you're alive to reply. . .

I have. I had to cover up the Fleur-de-Lys on my t-shirt and take my hat off to get out of the Coliseum alive. Fortunately, my boyfriend and son are Raider fans so it wasn’t too bad.

There was a very very drunk guys sitting behind us that became incredibly foul-mouthed (and I mean really disgusting) once the Saints went ahead. Thank goodness Security got him out of there.

The Post, ever confident that Eli Manning and company will squash the Pats on Sunday, spent $375 for its own trademark application Thursday — on "18-1."

Now that is hilarious.

They guys at the Post are witty. I think they sent the Jessica Simpson look-alike to the Giants-Cowboys game in Dallas.

If I wanted to be serious, I would continue asking, “The commish claims the cheating never affected the outcome of ANY games. So how come they were doing it? So how come it’s aginst the rules?”

But I feel nice today, for some reason. So instead I’ll suggest that yesterday’s result was Belichick’s karma catching up to him.

Yank-off fans should prepare themselves for another season of disappointment.

Personally, the Patriots remind me of Cincinatti in "The Cincinatti Kid", with the Giants in the role of Lancey Howard.

"Your good kid. But as long as I'm around, you'll always be second best.

What would be the equivalent record in baseball? 162-0? What about hockey or basketball?

I'd say that something that has only been accomplished twice in 35 years would not qualify as 'easy' in my book. The UCLA basketball team won 88 consecutive games between 1971 and 74. That is a phenomenal record, but keep in mind that the college season is only around 25 games a year.

With sports like football and college basketball with relatively short seasons, it is far more statistically likely for a team to go undefeated than for sports with far more games per season like baseball, hockey or pro basketball. The fact that it has only been accomplished twice in the modern era of pro football says something about the level of competition.

In the end, it is just a matter of probability.

To be fair trademarking it advance was the smart move, because someone else would have done it.

Actually that makes it more remarkable because of the turnover in college sports, having to retool every year to replace graduating seniors.

The patriot’s season was like this: Dating a supermodel who walks out on you after you’ve reached the altar on your wedding day.

And your best man is missing.

I agree. John Wooden was probably the great coach and teacher ever -- and a total class gentleman as well.

In 12 years, his teams won the NCAA title (College basketball's Super Bowl) 10 times. He's 96 years old now.
