N.J. sod farm levels playing field for NFC championship N.Y. Giants to be on 'home turf' when they face Green Bay
NEWARK - The Green Bay Packers have the home field advantage in tomorrow's NFC championship game, but the famous frozen tundra of Lambeau Field was grown in the New York Giants' backyard in New Jersey.
Tuckahoe Turf Farms, a sod grower located between Philadelphia and Atlantic City, supplies grass for some of the country's most well-known sports venues, including Lambeau Field and Fenway Park.
James Betts, the grandson of the company's founder, said he'll be watching the game to keep an eye on "his" grass, which was snow covered for last week's game against the Seattle Seahawks.
"At first, it was a really big deal, but after a while you kind of just get used to it," he said.

BIG BLUE! BIG BLUE! BIG BLUE!
I'm upset that NBC won't be broadcasting this game, as I have an odd urge to hear Madden say the name "Favre" again...

The sod may have been grown in Jersey, but I think the Jints are going to find it’s just not the same without the lucky Hoffa buried in the end zone.

Maybe the Giants fan can get together and have a tailgate party at the Vince Lombardi Rest Stop on the NJ Turnpike!

What’s the weather report like up in Green Bay now? It’s 11 here south of Indianapolis, with this cold front sitting here I can only imagine what it will be like there for the game.

As a Giant fan, I think the Packers will win.
But the Giants had a great season and did what they needed to do by beating Dallas!
Wiping the smirk off of Romo, seeing the look on Jerry Jones face, and T.O cry was almost as good as getting the Vince Lombardi trophy!

I'm upset that NBC won't be broadcasting this game, as I have an odd urge to hear Madden say the name "Favre" again... If you watch the pre-game show on Fox there is a good chance that comedian guy will imitate Madden prior to the game.
Personally, I would prefer if Ben Stiller were announcing the game as I haven't seen Something About Mary in a while.

Between Favre’s skills, and the spirit of Vince Lombardi, the Giants might consider just forfeiting ahead of time and avoid the inclement weather.
They’re toast, soon to be very COLD toast.
