Marissa was in Hair Spray and her part was for a heavy person. I think she's there to lose weight.
I feel sorry for Tony.

WTF???!???!?
He don’t have the Carlton clothes on!
Still - Carlton is so my dawg.
To: BamaDi
Marissa Jaret Winokur is awesome. She won a Tony for “Hairspray” and is an excellent actress.

Maybe he’ll sing that comical fast/slow version of the Tennessee Waltz.
(okay I’m really sounding old here, but my parents had this old OLD record)
To: retrokitten
He thinks they are atrocious.

I dunno, dawg. I'm digging the big girl. She's got great energy and attitude.

He could have done a lot better on the song, and certainly needed to drop the harmonica. But I am liking his voice more and more.

She sings "Yesterday." She sits on a stool, with a guy playing accoustic guitar at her feet. Wow, she's really nailing this. Remember a few days ago I was wondering if anyone would tackle 'Hey Jude' or 'Yesterday?' Either song, done right, can make a singer look very, very good. 'Hey Jude' is their highest selling single in the U.S., and 2nd highest selling worldwide.
'Yesterday' is a lovely sweet/sad love-lost ballad that could easily tilt to campy melodrama if sung over-the-top like so many pop singers do these days. I'm not surprised no one tackled the difficult 'Hey Jude,' but am proud of Syesha for trying 'Yesterday' and pulling it off.

Simon was wrong on this one. Chikezie gave another great performance tonight. He was one of the bottom on my list, but after last week and this week, he is in my top four.
