doubt it....that is the highest honer in country music....My George doesn’t live in Nashville, not available most weekends probably....that doesn’t make him a bad guy but when you live full time in TX it would be a little tough to be available for the grand ole opry....Michael sucked!!!!

Although Michael is still one of my favorites, that song sounded all chopped up to me.

No, I don’t blame George at all. He lives in Texas and has no desire to live in Nashville. He will be in the Country Music Hall of Fame, no doubt, but he will likely never be a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
(Of course, I never would have guessed that Charlie Daniels would make it in either for similar reasons and he got the invite last year.)

agreed with Simon's assessment that Michael wasn't that good.
But saying David was fantastic ---- well, I'd like to have some of the stuff Simon is smoking (not really, but if it gets you that far away from reality for a bit)
