Does anyone know what happened to Glenn? I saw some of his you tube video and he looks horrible. Just guessing but from the little big I heard it sounded like the hospital gave him the wrong medicine or something after surgery...
I was wondering this myself. I heard his guest host alluding to some kind of problem, but he didn’t explain what it was.

I didn't know he was going in for surgery, so don't know what kind of surgery it was. I guess tune in Monday to find out.

well whatever happened, I’m glad he’s recovering.
He has probably relapsed.

Well it all started out fine. How it all ended with me in the hospital for 5 days and sent home with patches they give people (I found out later) who are at 'end of life' for pain is a journey I would like to forget, but know I won't anytime soon. Today, New Years Day, is the first time since Christmas that I have been able to even attempt to play with the kids so, needless to say, I am not going to make it back for broadcast this week.
My best friend Pat will be filling in on Thursday and Friday. I hope to be back on Monday and we'll all have great laughs at my expense. ... but maybe not ... as I told my doctor today that I was feeling a little better, he said, "You know, in 10 or 12 weeks you really will have gotten past most of the pain and will be able to laugh about all of this." My response? "10 TO TWELVE WEEKS???? WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?! YOU MAY BE GIFTED AT MANY THINGS --- BEDSIDE MANNER AIN'T ONE OF THOSE THINGS". :)

Prayers for Mr. Beck and his family. I’ve never listened to his show myself, but it sounds like he may have a very tough road ahead for recovery... I hope not.
I like Glenn, but he is a bit of a drama king.
Maybe it was Neurontin. A doctor tried this patch with me after breaking my back in a car accident. I don’t know which was worse, the pain from the accident or feeling like I was going to DIE! from the Neurontin patch. Bad stuff.

Last I checked, alcoholics going off the wagon dont have to go in for surgery ... so therefore, no, I dont think he had a relapse. Furthermore, if you read his book ... he views his recovery as a miracle and a relapse would most likely cost him his wife and his career before it would put him in a hospital.
