The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

I also woke up “My Wife Thinks You’re Dead” stuck in my head. Is this a bad sign?

Sounds like a blast! Cool picture, too. One of these days I’ll have to actually watch that movie. ;-)

Apparently so!

Speaking of such things...guess I’d better go. It’s not a very inspiring day out there, though. :-\

Yes! It seems the firewall here at work hasn't caught up to the last round of FR changes... The news side is almost completely blocked (can't even view threads, only article headlines) while the chat side is completely open. Go figure.

Praise God! Just got back from the Cardiologist, and my heart is back to normal! He said the Echo was great, and that there is no heart damage. He was thrilled for me! I have to stay on the BP meds, Avapro and Carvedilol, until December, because that's the protocol, but he took me off the diuretic, and the Digoxin! WooHoo!

Unfortunately the Avapro is the ONE med that is not on the $4 program, but it's worth the $60 a month to keep my heart nice and strong, then I can go off it in December, unless he lets me cut it in half later in the year. Even if I have to stay on to Dec., I don't mind, because they are at very low doses, anyway, and the cough that was lingering from the lisinopril is almost gone. I only have one or two episodes each day, and they are about half as strong as they were.

Wonderful news, SuziQ!! Does that mean you can go back to eating normally, and your liquid restrictions are lifted?

I’ve been able to eat my greens and stuff since I’ve been off the Coumadin, which the Doc said I was able to do after my visit with him on Valentine’s Day. At that time, he also told me I didn’t have to worry about the liquid restriction, but I’ve been more careful about them anyway. Now that I’m going off the diuretics, too, I’ll definitely still watch the liquids.
