The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Good idea... there are fine motels in Rolla and Lebanon, about 25 miles either direction from post...

BTW, it’s a violation of Federal Law to transport a civilian firearm on to Post... unless you register it with PMO at the gate, and it must be unloaded at all times and in a case while on Post...

Sorta reminds me of the time we were visiting the White House. Security kept checkin’ Papa and having something show up. Pulled him out of the line with the want, etc.

About 10 minutes later, he said (with a grin no less) “did I tell you about my pacemaker?”

Fortunately, it was pre-9/11.

We're gonna stay in the old hotel on Route 66 in Lebanon next time we come. I've already promised Joshua.

The Munger Moss.

Might not be too long either. I'm fixin' to put in an order for a few meat chickens and a few layers at Cackle. They won't ship just a few, so we'll have to come get 'em!

BTW, we have good friends that own Historic Route 66 Inn:

It won’t hurt our feelings if you stay at Munger Moss tho’...

Oh without a doubt...you’ll see us if you’re not out of town or something! Probably end up going to church with you again too...we liked your church.

Maybe we’ll stay at both places...Joshua just saw a picture of the Munger Moss in a book and I told him it was in Lebanon and next time we visited we’d stay there.

He’s not married to the idea though. Heh heh...

Dang, that was fast...just came across my old van on Craigslist, being sold by one of the local very-used-car dealerships. *snif*

Apparently it now comes with power widows, though. Inneresting enhancement.

Your Thinking is Abstract and Sequential
You like to do research and collect lots of information.
The more facts you have, the easier it is for you to learn.

You need to figure things out for yourself and consider all possibilities.
You tend to become an expert in the subjects that you study.

It's difficult for you to work with people who know less than you do.
You aren't a very patient teacher, and you don't like convincing people that you're right.
What Kind of Thinker Are You?

Heh.

Your Thinking is Concrete and Sequential
You are precise, orderly, and realistic.
You tend to get to the point and get things done.

Difficult, detailed work is easy for you. You take things step by step.
Time limits aren't a problem for you either. You work well with deadlines.

What does drive you crazy is any sort of task that isn't precisely laid out.
You don't like anything to be ambiguous. You prefer to deal with the facts at hand.

I’m just wondering what exactly power widows might do for ya, you know?

Do they keep the inside nice and clean? Nag you if you drive recklessly? Bake?
