Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
I was really sure I had things set at the 0 deduction rate but... oh well.
No, mine was the one that was screwed up. We had very similar salaries but he had about 150% more withheld than me - voila.
I think I took no deductions but did not check the “withhold at single rate” box which was what did it.
Hey, I like that idea....
Make mine a Guinness, please...
I’m thinkin’ it’d be a bit hard to color Guinness green, though.
Ungh...I still have the whole afternoon to get through and a staff meeting to go to before I get to go home.
It’s probably a sin to color Guinness green. After all, according to Jon Stewart, St. Patrick is the Patron Saint of Fermented Beverages.
gettin’ ready tuh cut out and get a homebrew...
mmmm...homebrew...
pleasant day really... morning spent on the computer (low point of theday), afternoon was spent on weapon system maintenance... got home in time tuh help mrsnad plant red and white onions, and some spinach... stepped inside to a meal of pasta with sausage cream sauce made by thegirl...
time tuh settle down with a homebrew... sky just opened up and it’s pouring rain...
what is the twist on the bbl?... if yer not shootin’ long range it won’t really matter puuting a lighter projo thru a tight twist bbl...
I have an older AR with 1/12” twist, and I tried shootin’ some M855 62gr thru it... it was tumbling as it left the bbl... I load 55gr BTHP on top of Win powder, and I’m getting sub-MOA groups at 100yds...
if your going to be shooting alot, I highly recommend investing a couple hunnert $s and stock up on components...
if your going to be shooting alot, I highly recommend investing a couple hunnert $s in a good press and stock up on components...
Good to be inside, then, well fed, and watered with a homebrew. ;o)
Evening - just heard the weather, there’s more rain ahead for us.
Drove over Indian Creek this afternoon, bout half way up the bank.
“The water’s four feet high and risin’..”
The two plus inches we got must have made for soggy shamrocks and diluted green beer downtown.
Yup, price of components going up fast, though not as fast as factory or surplus ammo seems to be. Can’t have too many spare primers these days. Pistol especially.
Balance of time and money as far as presses go. Top of line is G’nad’s Dillon outfit, mid range is my antique RCBS single stage.
It won't hurt anything, but those light bullets will probably only print a 4 inch group at 50 yards. Everything will be erratic as far as grouping goes.
Considering all the 1-in-12 rifles still out there, maybe you can swap with someone who can use them. You won't get much satisfaction, other than making noise, and then having to clean your weapon.
A 4 inch group is not too bad for me, right now. Especially with just a red dot sight on my scope. We’ll upgrade me to a nice highpowered scope one of these days but until then I’m going to be a little inaccurate.
Might as well spam.
