An empty vodka bottle was also found in a car used by Amritpal Dhaliwal, 19, and his brother, Kulbir, 23, on the day of the mauling, which left 17-year-old Carlos Sousa Jr. dead, according to the source.
The discoveries could be an indication that the brothers may have taunted the 350-pound Siberian tiger before it leapt from its grotto.

With a preface by Rip Torn?
Huh?
the brothers may have taunted the 350-pound Siberian tiger before it leapt from its grotto.
No, only one of them got what he deserved.
Is there one single shred of evidence the tigers are doing this?
Check this Video of a guy that climbed in a lion exhibit and preached to the lions. Stupid and lucky... he lived.
Only an Oprah jury would find in favor of these kids or their families.
Either the tiger attacked all three at the cafe, and then dragged one of them away toward the confinement area, or the tiger attacked all three near the confinement area and two of the men escaped toward the cafe with the blood coming from wounds inflicted on one of them.
To determine the sequence we need merely identify whose blood made up the blood trail.
I remember one Sunday, about twenty years ago, visiting the Capron Park Zoo in Attleboro, MA with my daughter and nephew. The zoo was sort of down in the heels at the time and had become somewhat dilapidated, it’s gotten a lot better since. There were very few vistors and no visible attendants. One exhibit was a group of whitehand gibbons. Besides my party, there was one other couple and a group of unkempt white boys, about 10-15 years old. The boys were taking delight in pelting the helpless animals with pieces of gravel.
After a about thirty seconds of this, I couldn’t take much more and growled at them, “Hey, don’t you know how to act!” The young couple looked embarassed and uncomfortable, but the boys seemed genuinely ashamed. (The boys were not associated with the young couple in any way.) They mumbled something about knowing how to act, looked at their feet and shuffled off. I know that is wasn’t and isn’t fashionable for people to scold other people’s children these days, but when I was a kid, everyone did it.
Of course, there were a bunch of bikers (illegally) guzzling beer under a gazebo about 100 yards away and the young couple may have reckoned that the kids probably rode in on the back of daddy’s Harley. Being as it was a Sunday, there was a probability that the bikers were “zoo daddies” (fathers who only saw there kids on Sundays.) In the even, nothing further happened.
Picky, aren't we? Let me re-phrase ........
"Still doesn't cause me any pity for idiots taunting a man-killer in a cage 'confinement area'. I don't buy the premise that it was 'just a matter of time' ........ "
What other evidence do you need that the tiger could readily escape its confined area, get all the way over to the cafe, and start slicing and dicing.
I’m a bit confused . . .
I missed the part about
how juries in SAN FRANBUTTACO
are made up of REASONABLE people.
Have I slipped into the Tiwlight Zone?
Has the old SAN FRANBUTTACO been SWITCHED with a more sane, benign, ratioinal, normal SAN FRANCISCO???
Please clarify.
LOL.
Hey Sackaweed, sounds like you’re in opposition to about 95% of the posters on this thread, not just me! As for slingshots, my nephews are so adept at using them that I purchaced one of the more powerful soft-air guns just to even the scales.
What is it about these non cooperating punks that makes you so sure they did nothing to create this situation?
As for the unfortunate keeper-you would think that a zookeeper, among all people would know how to stay out of the animals reach.
No kiddin!
Plus the zoo keepers held the life saving police OUTSIDE the zoo gates for six minutes!
Another six minutes and the one brother would have been eaten.
The zoo deserves all the grief it is going to get.
AGREED . . . except that . . .
Klintoons are POOH white trash . . . maybe not financially . . . but in every other potentially redeeming respect, they are beneath the slug poop in the lowest cesspool in hell.
In which case it was just a matter of time until a tiger decided it wanted to be outside and took action to get there.
Source please.
If it is true this tiger got out of the enclosure before, the zoo is totally responsible.
If it is not true and this is the first time the tiger got out, it is because of the provocation the kids did.
That would weigh heavily on who is at fault here.
Do not underestimate beanshooters.

That said, I hasten to remind everyone proximity does not equate to causality (or some such)
Mere possession of a beanshooter does not prove the boys used it to antagonize the tiger.
For that you need to find projectiles and bruises on the tigers body.
There are many stupid things the kids could have done to provoke the tiger without the aid of a slingshot.
Best regards,
