A knighthood is not a title of nobility. A knight is an armed commoner. Giuliani isn’t even the first American to be knighted; Nimitz was knighted before him.

Honorary title, and there has been a rather large number of precedents, including (if I am not mistaking) Presidents Eisenhower, Reagan and Bush.

So is “Mister” - you can’t put “Sir” in front of your name until you renounce American citizenship, like Sir Yehudi Menuhin did.

That’s your interpretationm, however apparently there are countervailing factors you are not aware of.
As I said, Eisenhower, Reagan and H.W. Bush have all received the same awards, and in Ike’s case, I am almost certain he received it before he was elected.
That being the case, I don’t think you are going to generate much enthusiasm with this “gotcha”.

‘Sir’ Ronald Wilson Reagan was also knighted by the same Queen in 1989. Do the math.

I won't vote for any Dems because of their pro-ABORTION stance aka pro choice and other life issues, yeah, I've been told shouldn't vote single issue. Too bad, it's not JUST that but MAINLY that. I'm just kind of stubborn that way. And I'm not stupid enough to suppose that if those millions of aborted babies could have lived and grown up to vote, a significant number of those would vote Dem because that's just the way things work.
If Giuliani is the nominee, I don't think I can in good conscience vote for him because it would be hypocritical and possibly worse.
If enough of us believe this way, will we be to blame for handing Hillery, Obama or Edwards the presidency?
