The mandate wasn’t over cutting and running from Iraq.

It was over Mark Foley’s attempts at a man-date as spun by an October surprise cooked up by media collusion with the DNC. They sat on the details and then blamed the GOP for a “culture of corruption” for “knowing” and “doing nothing” (the DNC on the other hand knew, did nothing for years, and then used it for political opportunism).

Pelosi: This year we tried to pass numerous bills demanding the withdrawal of our troops, tried to cut off funding for the Iraq war, pulled an all-night debate to try and surrender in Iraq, didn't reprimand MoveOn for printing a slanderous ad against General Petraeus, attacked Rush Limbaugh for a comment made on talk radio and then got our butts kicked with his charity letter, and ticked off Turkey with an already-brought-up genocide resolution and managed to start a skirmish on their Iraq border. We've done absolutely nothing this year except surrender to Bush's veto pen and earn ourselves an 11% approval rating!

Reid: That's it, if Bush waves that "Ha ha suckers" sign ONE more time....
