Well, now, that sounds good. Soup never tastes as good out here, altho I am developing a taste for that Thai soup made with coconut milk.

I'm here in Fishers. I don't care for 17 inches, and I doubt that we get it, but I think I'd rather have the snow than the snow and ice. The ice is a real killer, literally and figuratively. Branches and trees and all that mess falling all over the place. Are you above or below I-70?

LOL!
It really doesn’t bother me “that” much........just when it is DAMP and cold, and on the DelMarVa Peninsula, that is most of the winter. *sigh*
But most of our winter is really just mid Jan to Mid June. We wore sweaters for Christmas Services, but all had on our winter coats for Easter.

You are making me miss Michigan. Here in Louisville we had ice and now cold rain. I was hoping the rain would get rid of the ice, but it needs to warm up first. Would rather have snow than rain. At least last week was in the 70’s.

Thai soup made with coconut milk.I make a nice Thai soup w/chicken, coconut milk and curry. Delish! But today I think I'll go for traditional bean soup.

I finally did my lawnmower/snowblower switch this morning. I CANNOT get my 23 year old snowblower started! GRRRRRRR. So, the shovels are by the garage door and we have to go out and get new screws, washers, and wing nuts for the snow scoop. Oh well.... My daughter comes home for Christmas break this evening. I am going to ask my sister, who lives three houses away, if we can park her car in their garage to make clearing the driveway easier. I’m looking forward to a beautiful day tomorrow.

Oh, COOL BEANS! Thanks a lot and Merry Christmas to you, too, U :)
That is so neat...

My brother and sister are driving up from Gatlinburg Sunday to visit Mom in South Dayton (Cattaraugus County). Looks to be a bumpy ride -- I'm not sure I'll even try going down there from Buffalo if this hits like they say.
On the other hand, a lot of the time these things head east and don't really affect us.

MGD says "nyah nayh" HE hasn't had to clean or put chemicals in the pool for months !
(of course it's a big pool-popsicle right about now, and he's insanely jealous of you)
Our kids are being encouraged to settle in a nice warm place for us to follow them to when our obligations in the Great White North are complete--my hubby often curses his ancestors for coming here and saying, "Ach! It's yust like the Olt Country!"
His reply - "The Old Country sucked!!! That's why you left it, remember?"

How far south did the ice fall?? I have many close family member about 40-50 minutes south of you, just wondering if they got it. BTW, if you are now in KY how can you miss anywhere else? LOL I love KY and miss KY until I can get back, and we are all from the NE!
I thought I was doing a really good thing getting the lights and decorations out before any storms hit, but now.........looking like they may be stuck there until spring!! We have about 10 inches on the ground, and winter mix moving in tonight, maybe the rain will melt some away. I am just praying for good weather on Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day, so all of us can get back and forth without worrying. In the meantime, plenty to do indoors to in preparation.

Very high winds in the Texas Hill country, where I am, and down to 27 the next two nights. Got all the plants in on the porch and firewood stacked.
Me, cat and dog cozied up in front of the fire Extra feed to horses.
No problem!
