Frank Pringle has found a way to squeeze oil and gas from just about anything
Im not sure if Im watching a magic trick, or an invention that will make the cigar-chomping 64-year-old next to me the richest man on the planet. Everything that goes into Frank Pringles recycling machinea piece of tire, a rock, a plastic cupturns to oil and natural gas seconds later. Ive been told the oil companies might try to assassinate me, Pringle says without sarcasm.
The machine is a microwave emitter that extracts the petroleum and gas hidden inside everyday objectsor at least anything made with hydrocarbons, which, it turns out, is most of whats around you. Every hour, the first commercial version will turn 10 tons of auto wastetires, plastic, vinylinto enough natural gas to produce 17 million BTUs of energy (it will use 956,000 of those BTUs to keep itself running).

"I used to work at an industrial testing laboratory, and one of the tests we used to run was vacuum pyrolysis. We did this to rubber samples. Put the sample in a test tube, pump out the air & then energize a heating element. All the organic hydrocarbons in the sample volatilize but do not combust because of the lack of oxygen. Whats left is an oily goo inside the test tube and carbon ash. If I had to guess, something similar is at work here." Based on the more technical information presented here by Freepers it does look like there is validity, I'm still skeptical though.

F.E. and F.O. would be proud, if the Bilderbergers hadn't kidnapped and done away with them . . . . .

I’ll make a note next time I’m in your neck of the woods to bring some. It really isn’t that fancy, over the counter home brew kit similar to this size.

Its a fun hobby that only take a couple of hours every couple of weeks but has great results.

Well, assuming this is true, and you were a mogul whose entire existence depended on the ascendancy of petroleum products, what would you do? Just drop out of business and become a pauper?
I'm simply asking the question, not taking a position.

If you actually make up in the woods this way come in summer, I wouldn't want you to shock your system. ;-D
BTW, I've pinged one of your fellow Texans who had the misfortune to relocate here to Connecticut.
Be sure to send your condolences. :-)

It is not so bad in Connecticut. I could be in Massconfussion. I just think of the humidity in Texas when I start to freeze my arse off and I warm right up. :-)

Im sick and tired of this quasimarxist mythos about the big evil company of the moment wanting to squash invention and keep people oppressed. In fact, the oil companies would love this microwave gadget, assuming that it works, since people will still have to purchase fuel somehow and the oil companies already have the gas stations, refineries, pipelines, and fuel trucks ready to supply and transport the fuel.
Exxon and Mobil are going to kill the guy. What a load of crap. That statement right there makes me think this guy is a nutcase, not a legitimate inventor.
A good thought and, true I might add.
Was talking with an eighteen year old college student yesterday.
I can’t believe how brain washed the liberal professors have accomplished their ideology onto the youth of America. These young people believe George Bush controls the price of oil because the Bush family comes from oil ventures. I ask, do you know how the stock exchange works’ no he replied. Then you shouldn’t be talking about something a liberal professor has told you without exploring all the facts.
