Playoffs could easily start 2 weeks before New Years and end the same time as this Jan 7 time line. Its just nuts to have 50 days off for one of the teams and last year OSU was destroyed by Florida after having about the same time off.
It is just ridiculous. Time to drop all the past traditions and move into the new century—implement a playoff system and eliminate this absurd layoff for so long.

Well, that could be said. But the best thing about my Jayhawks in a BCS bowl is that it will sure piss off the MU Tigers in a lower bowl. LOL.

Yep, and for good reason. Just checked the bowl schedule and OSU vs. LSU is going in for the Bowl Championship. If I was Coach Tressel, he BETTER get his team REALLY READY for this bowl game if he wants to prevent what happened at the last Championship Bowl when Florida Gators, another SEC team defeated the OSU Buckeyes bigtime. LSU Tigers are NOT going to be pushovers for certain.

What an Insane College Football Season...
I'm very thankful Navy managed to do as well as they did with wins over Army and Air Force in addition to ending the streak with Notre Dame.
I think the transitive property of wins applies - Navy beat ND, who beat Stanford, who beat USC...and, Stanford beat Cal, who beat Tennessee, and whoever Tennessee beat... Florida?
