Well, with all due respect to the Ravens fans, I think they're just seeing what they want to see because the outcome of the game was what it was. That's not to take away from the fact that the Ravens played one HELL of a great football game until they became completely unglued in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. And if not for those two brain-on-steroids penalties that resulted in 30+ penalty yards, they might have had a chance to tie or win in their final possession.
I've been told by someone in the know that the Giants/Pats game will be telecast on local ABC affiliate WCVB Boston...as well as the NFL Network pay service.
I saw that as well. I imagine he was responding to a verbal taunt from a Patriots player. If I were Belechick and saw that, I'd have words for my player.
There is NO reason any player should be directing ANY comments to the opposing head coach on the sidelines. Bad form.
That was arch-villian Rodney Harrison...he and Billick were having words. I thought it was pretty funny that Billick would do that. Can you imagine Belichick doing that?????
But you are right BSR...they should have their heads in the game not on the sideline.
If....big if...they do get past the Steelers, I'm thinking that the Giants could put a scare into them...if they get their shite together in the next few weeks. They have some weapons and if the Giants play smart, disciplined ball...they could conceivably do it.
I may have bias, but what I saw last night - replayed a few times head-on - was a ball balancing on a point, not solidly in place.
From the field’s view, it looked legit - but the ball was hidden from that POV. Head-on, a whole new meaning.
Of course, I’d like to see the video presented a few posts back. Can’t view here.
And yet no Pats fans/defenders here have been calling for a flag on that!
For what infraction? If the refs called every word that went back and forth the games would be 6 hours long.
And thats fine. I personally think it was a catch. Gaffney had the ball in two hands ,controlled. If the ball was bouncing up in the air it would be one thing, it was not.
There is no rule that ball needs to be tucked away and secured, two hands, controlled equals a catch.
It was very close and was called a TD on the field.
I can see how others may see it diffrently and that is legitimate, the bottom line-the play called on the field stands, like it or not.
The Stillers should play them tough next game. The way the Pats have been trending lately, I expect a pretty close game.
Jets and Fins should be blowouts. But that means nothing anymore, as the Eagles and Ravens weren't supposed to be that close.
And yeah, the Giants game could be close, too.
They can still run the table, but it's not going to be easy. Nor should it be.
True, but then the same can be said for alot of these infractions (I think many are ninny rules these days). But “unsportsmanlike conduct” - after all, refs call on guys for getting in *their* faces too. A coach getting that? Amazing.
I am waiting to get through next week’s game before I even think about running the table. The Stealer’s love to beat the Pats even without the lure of marring the perfect season.

Darth Hoodie would extend one hand with the thumb and index finger pinching together and the player taunting would suddenly stop and fall to the ground clutching his throat.
Darth Hoodie would be standing ten feet away from him...powerful Sith Lord he is.
I have to disagree. That was a touchdown. He never lost control of the ball. And if by some miracle it was overturned then the Pats were going to have it 1st and goal on about the three yards line thanks to the unsportsmanlike penalties. They were going to score regardless.
Heck Moss has caught several passes this year without even bothering to use both hands.
You have FReepmail (and control over the 1/4th of the Spiraling Colby empire that neither got a bye in the playoffs nor choked).
Never mind for right now that that TD was extremely uncontrolled (never lost control? no way!) and was “moot anyway” because of Scott’s stupid flags.
This ALL would have been moot if Rolle hadn’t had the pass interference (?) right at the time a TD pass was thrown that LED to this 1st-down play anyway from a 3rd or 4th down. If he hadn’t had that flag then Pats might not have had all that extra opportunity to get that questionable TD(and they might have already had a TD, anyway)!
