I'm no Hotel Cleanliness Expert.
But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

LOL!
Cleans the toilet wearing a rubber glove, then proceeds to clean the drinking glasses with the same glove right after that.
I always thought the water there tasted crappy!

I prefer the practices of the cheaper motels which give you new plastic cups sealed in plastic, to the expensive hotels, which leave used, possibly unsanitary glasses in your room.

Worked with a guy who woke up in a hotel room with something stuck to his elbow. Turned out to be a used tampon.

As someone who stays about 100 days per year in hotels, you know these things and just go with it.
The bottom line here is that people are not dropping dead from diseases nor contracting major illnesses.
In other words, lighten up, Francis.

I know a guy who was issued a room key, and when he opened the door found another guest sitting in a chair in the room. And let’s just say that man was not “master of his domain”.

Every place I stay in uses pre-wrapped disposable cups.
Don’t get me started on the bedspreads though!

When I stay in motels I always sleep on top of the covers and always use an a$$ gasket on the toilet.

At the Holiday Inn housekeeping just splashed some water around the glasses then left them for the next person to use. But the most disturbing thing we saw was at the Sheraton where our housekeeper, wearing a big glove, cleans the toilet. Next, she uses that same glove to clean our cups. But there's more: she sniffs our dirty wash cloth and uses that to dry our glasses.Ewww! That is nasty.

I hope in Vegas where I plan to go next month, they burn the sheets and replace them with fresh ones. everything in vegas should stay in Vegas. I don’t need to bring home the plague or something worse with me.

we got a room at a Best Western once....found a several hair stands on the shower wall....asked for another room...and got it..but they were going to "look into the shower and take care of it"..
the next day we were checking out and the people in front of us were checking out of our original room....you guessed it...they reported the hair was still there in their room....
so the management really didn't care about fixing the problem...simply having a housekeeper go clean again...he just wanted to get the room rented no matter what...
the one thing I never do in motel/hotel rooms is lie on the bed spread..I always toss it aside and bring my own blanket to lie on or to cover up with....I don't think they wash those things between rentals.....
