Led Zeppelin have given a clear hint that they are thinking about staging a full-scale tour after their reunion gig next month.
Speaking to Guitar World magazine in the States, guitarist Jimmy Page suggested the one-off show may lead to something bigger.
"It's a bit silly not to because there is such massive demand," he said.
Until now, the band had said they were only planning to do the one show at the O2 Dome, in honour of Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun.
But following what Page described as the "overwhelming" reaction to the show, clearly they are re-thinking things. It's estimated up to 20 million people applied for just 18,000 tickets.
"It's a bit selfish to do just one show. If that's it, we probably shouldn't have taken the genie out of the bottle," he said.
The show has been delayed while Page rests a broken finger on his left hand. He got the injury when he tripped over a paving slab in the dark.
"The light was very dim and I tripped over something and I landed on various bits of my anatomy but of course the crucial part was left hand, little finger," Page has previously told Sky News.
The rescheduled gig at the O2 Arena will now take place on December 10.

But you have to admit that there was something else going on in the promoter’s mind in the 1980s when he put together a package tour of “Squeeze” and “The Hooters” (no joke).
David Gilmour moans about he already has more than enough (I think he’s cut it down to 2 or 3 homes and a couple of cars down from 60). But he’s said that while every artist has his price, the $250million offer still isn’t high enough.
Morrissey also denies his fans (I’m not one) a Smiths reunion although it was he who got the New York Dolls to reunited (and one of those members died not long after the first reunions).
So the musicians can be fans themselves and still be selfish twits enough to deny their own fans the same joys.
It is a JOB. Do your JOB and be satisified you can get such lucrative work.
The Rolling Stones get along better than they have in a long time but even when they didn’t speak they still realized the business partnership was better than anything else they could get going on their own.

I followed the link on your profile ... love that ‘76 Les Paul you have. I had one similar to that I bought in ‘78. My favorite guitar I ever had. It got stolen about 10 years ago. Sad, I got a strat now but I really miss that guitar.
During this time, the hall continued to sell beer (in glass bottles!) and hard liquor to everyone and the crowd started getting restless and rowdy. After about 90 minutes of this, somebody (their tour manager?) came out and announced that the show will be rescheduled for later in the summer and that our tickets can be refunded if we could not make it to the new show. Well - the booze kicked in and quite a few people were highly pissed off and began to rush the stage. The security folks wouldnt let them near the stage and a few fights broke out. My friends and I didnt want any part of this so we got the hell out of there and hit a local bar for a few more pops.
One of the reasons I can remember all of this is because the hall was really small - held about 2000 people at the most. Our tickets were 10th row so we had a front row seat to everything, courtesy of our local Moral & Welfare Support Activity office.

I was playin’ in a country band some years back, at a small club. Some skankoid girl with no front teeth yelled that out. I went into my guitarcase and gave everyone in the band but the drummer a bottleneck slide. None of us knew the tune, but sorta remembered the melody. So we all played the melody. Two slide guitars, slide fiddle, and slide bass. I was laughin’ so hard I almost peed my pants!

Some people grow up, some don’t! I bought a ‘57 Strat 15 years ago. It had been spray-painted black to look like The Clap’s guitar. I removed the black paint to find the original, and hyper-rare San Marino Blue underneath! Even though my plate says Tele-1, that beat-up old Strat is still my best-soundin’ guitar!
Someone, someday, really and truly NEEDS to scream this just as loudly as possible during a performance by the New York Philharmonic. ;)
The band Dash Rip Rock handles the request by playing a medley called “Stairway to Freebird”.
I’m not a Zepplin fan, just as I’m not a Broooce Springsteen fan. But I don’t see how a band like Led Zepplin would be a “turn off” for someone just because (s)he is a conservative.
Musically I don’t see them as a radical band preaching politics at every turn or trying to shame the public into changing their lifestyles (give up your car, your toilet paper, your light bulbs...) the type of acts who spend time languishing in million dollar estates and socking money into offshore investments, plotting out tour calendars so as to avoid living in England long enough to have to pay taxes there while bitching that that rich don’t pay their fair share...
From reading this thread, while some may have enjoyed drug exploits like the band’s, no one seems to HOPE that the band returns to chemical debauchery. Too many fans know that it does impair the performances.
Yeah they don’t seem to be preaching political reform. Why bother with that when you can sing about Lord of the Rings?
Seriously, Robert Plant had to give hope to lots of geeks in the 70s. Yes, you can in fact sing about one of the nerdier things ever, and still have women falling all over themselves to get with you.
I’m still waiting for Gilmour and Waters to grow up and put Floyd back together. Their Live 8 show proved that they still have it.
San Marino Blue is a color that was used on Cadillac Eldorado convertables in 1957. At that time, you could pay Leo Fender a few extra bucks, and he would paint your guitar any Duco Automotive color you wanted. The Duco store was just down the street from early Fender. My guitar has the fairly rounded fingerboard of all early Fenders. And the V-shaped neck. It celebrated it’s 50th birthday in June of this year.
