Was considering a couple G3’s for my kids at Christmastime. Do they come with games? What kind of software?
I’ve always purchased and owned PCs, but find Macs to have crisp graphics and a fairly simple interface for learners.

I loath these all in one computers. Gateway used to make a line of these. To me it's just kind of weird to stare at an LCD monitor that has a hard drive grinding away right behind it along with all the other electronics. If I want compactness then I'd get an LCD monitor and one of these very compact slimline computers from Hewlett Packard

The Bad: Pricey; no media card reader; no ability to upgrade optical drive to high-definition DVD So get an external HD DVD player that either runs on USB or Firewire. What's the big deal?
Final Cut Pro Studio from Apple already supports BluRay and HD.

[snip] Folding@home hit a true petaFLOP on Sept 16. Then the PS3 folders hit a petaFLOP by themselves on Sept 23! [end]

Just installed Leopard on my PB 12” Aluminum, 867 MHz G4, 640 MB RAM.
I have to say that I find that even with the graphic enhancements, animations, etc, that it feels as fast or faster than Tiger.
Now it is time to play with it.

Am seriously contemplating biting the bullet and getting a MAC laptop.
While normally, I favor a large screen, I want to lug a minimum of weight . . . but I want a hefty machine in terms of computing power, memory etc.
Is such available int he MAC version of such things?
Would have to order online as no Mac store here. Haven’t succeeded in finding much online, yet.
Thx in advance.

The Bad: Pricey; no media card reader; no ability to upgrade optical drive to high-definition DVD
And it didn't even have a port for a future 3D DVD player or coffee maker!
