Robertson has concluded its more important for this country and this world for Hillary to be defeated.

He also believes, as do I, that Rudy will appoint strict constructionists to the federal bench, thus negating any remaining concern for his social positions.

“He also believes, as do I, that Rudy will appoint strict constructionists to the federal bench...”

In other words, you chose to ignore his record of appointing liberal judges? Why would you believe what a politician says when his record shows otherwise?

Heard this on John Gibson's show.

Moments later I heard a real conservative Ann Coulter say she'll likely vote for Duncan Hunter, another real conservative.

‘’L O L there is a paralyzing fear in the minds of OLD men. Now what is the difference in Rudy and Hillry???’’,,,,,,,,,To me the difference is , if we attacked by terrorists Rudy will fight back if he is President. If Hillary is President and we get attacked,,,she will offer them ‘’ Hillary health care’’ if they just please leave us alone.......

I feel Rudy should be classified with that disgusting ilk....he really is in the wrong party.

That just isn't being intellectually honest - We are living in very serious times. We need to be more serious and more careful with our words and positions (and see the big picture).

Rudy may not be my first choice (at the moment) however, the notion that he is in the same ilk as the current Democrat leadership is just absurd and intellectually wrong.

Rudy stands firm in support for the WOT/Iraq. He stands for victory. That is the most pressing foreign policy issue facing this nation.....The Dem ilk at every turn is looking for our defeat on this issue...at the cost whatever blood it takes from our warriors.

Rudy is right on taxes (and the need to keep the GWB tax cuts). Rudy is right on a number of other issues as well.

I can understand where some within our GOP base may have disagreements with him on issues of abortion and guns.....And that is fair.

But to suggest he is of the same ilk as the DEM leadership is flat out wrong and silly....at at time in history where we cannot have silly thinking.

No sir YOU are not being intellectually honest.... Rudy has done NOTHING to stop terror...he was in the right (wrong?) place and the right (wrong?) time....he insisted on putting his base of operations for any terror attack in the WTC!!! he was cautioned NOT to do that but his ego was too big to listen to reason from folks who remember the first WTC attack.....Rudy has NOTHING...and he can do nothing to help us....he is a big WINDBAG as is Pat Robertson...but the sheep will follow him....enjoy your status.

Brilliant. Blame Rudy putting offices in the WTC, for terrorists attacking us. No, who is to blame for Sept 11th, 2001 is 100% the terrorists / AQ. Period. Full Stop.

Who said that????YOU said that....not me. I said he should have thought twice about the location and was cautioned as such by various security organizations. Your response was a convoluted attempt to discredit the truth of the matter as I reported it.

What does that have to do with the price of corn? So you are equating Rudy as Mayor buying office space in the WTC...as a reflection that is more important then his desire to see victory through in Iraq? You are suggesting buying office space is a more important philosophy than is the understanding that we need to stay on the offensive, of there (throughout the ME, SE Asia and HOA), so as to where we can buy office space here, anywhere we choose, without fear of AQ and their mimics.

Reality is bud, Rudy is right on the WOT/Iraq. Deal with it. Or don't. But don't blame what happened on 9-11 on anyone other than the terrorists / AQ.

Rudy has no credentials to wage a war on terror. he had a few weeks of it as NYC Mayor before Bloomberg took over. He never had to deal with foreign nations as Mayor except to turn down that check from the Saudi Prince....and perhaps to faun over Israel for his Jewish voting block.

Late to the thread, I had a deadline at work...

The *real* question here is how long the MSM will take to :

1) proclaim this as the end of the stranglehold of the religious right on the Republican Party (non-sequitur!)

2) praise Pat for "finally coming around" to reason

3) declare that this might split the Republican Party

4) stop saying that anyone who listens to a televangelist is a mind-numbed robot

Cheers!

How dare Mr. Robertson endorse a candidate who supports abortion, supports homosexual marriage, and openly believes the Bible to be errant when there is a very winnable candidate who is an ordained minister and who has never disgraced that ordination, and who has a Christian vision for our nation! Mr. Robertson will have to answer to God for the misuse of the ministry and following He has blessed Mr. Robertson with. Mr. Robertson must withdraw his support of Rudy Giuliani immediately and throw his support behind Mike Huckabee immediately if he hopes to humble himself and do the right thing.
