Is the universe a doughnut?
Cosmos Magazine ^ | September 6, 2007 | Paul Halpern

Someday spacecraft will be powerful enough perhaps to journey at extraordinary speeds, spanning the vast interstellar voids. Our technology might develop until we become a vast, powerful intergalactic society, capable of resolving the deepest quandaries ever known. Only then could we definitely answer what is perhaps the ultimate question: "Is the universe shaped like a doughnut?" This last question pertains to an idea attributed to Homer and mentioned by guest star Stephen Hawking in an episode of The Simpsons. In the episode, Lisa Simpson joins Springfield's chapter of the brainy organisation Mensa, which assumes mayoral duties and vows to remake Springfield into a perfect society. The prospect of experiencing a blossoming utopia attracts the attention of the British cosmologist Hawking, who - in his first animated appearance on the show - decides to visit and see it for himself.

Funny, your finished doughnut looks like my scott skin sub, an involuting evoluting mag-lev rubber skin w/top theoretical speed of the speed of sound in water. An israeli and I thought of the same form decades ago, but it was far too advanced for people in the marine transport field to understand.

Plus, look at the micro-psi visions of the sub-quark, same form; and it’s composed of 10 “strings”.

interesting link:

http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap071107.html

“These include the Shapley Supercluster of galaxies, part of the Pisces-Cetus Supercluster, and part of the Horologium-Reticulum Supercluster.”

Naming a supercluster of galaxies after Shapley makes no sense:

http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/htmltest/gifcity/cs_why.html

“Curtis argued that the Universe is composed of many galaxies like our own, which had been identified by astronomers of his time as ‘spiral nebulae’. Shapley argued that these ‘spiral nebulae’ were just nearby gas clouds, and that the Universe was composed of only one big Galaxy.”

Some claim that the egregiously left wing Shapley was equally right because of some tiny little thing he was right about (his greatly exaggerated size of our galaxy is said at the page to have been “more correct” — but he was so awfully wrong about the size and organization of the universe that Curtis’ idea and his name should be the one celebrated.

That's interesting. I've been mulling over this jellyroll for about 30 years but never bumped into anyone who understood it who didn't read Bentov. I used to understand it years ago and could visualize how we would drift along in the current and at some point in the future we would re-enter the general region of space where we had drifted before.

Some say that some psychics could tune in to the mental/emotional content registered in the astral regions of that period and see things that actually happened. Things that were similar to what is happening today. I don't understand how they do that, but I guess one could say, what goes around, comes around.

psychic vs physics? Well, I began a series of invention concepts by asking myself : now just how does the eggbeater windmill work? Do you know?

Anyway, that answer led to wings, something like that old fashioned lawn mower wing invented in england, only w/rubber belts and magnetically repelled wires. Final concept in the series was an involuting/evoluting torus, your doughnut stretched out.

Then I discovered that an israeli had already patented the concept. Funny, our longitudinal cross sections for the end wheels were exactly identical; it’s called convergent evolution. BUT, he only thought of air-lev for the skin, I had mag-lev from the beginning(for the rubber skin), and as an underwater towed barge, say as an oil tanker(with towing belts).

This scott skin sub has both particle and wave aspects to fulfill the principle of complementarity. Top speed : mach 4.3, underwater. But sigh, this was back in the late 1970s, 30 years ago now; and nobody listened, nobody cared. They care even less to what this old fart has to say now... Never heard of Bentov...see what I mean?

"Never heard of Bentov

Please read him. A picture is worth a thousand words. The images are like desktop icons. Hopefully, mentally clicking on them opens up a large file just below the surface of your normal consciousness.

Why sugar coat it? A bagel is shaped like a donut ... why can’t you say the universe shaped like a bagel?

" . . . why can’t you say the universe shaped like a bagel?"

Because it's hard to fill a bagel with jelly?

Don’t wanna offend the Moslems, or for that matter the Dhimmicrats and other skinheads.

Better yet, find the micro-psi visions of Ledbetter and Bezant of the subquark. Locate at infinite-energy.com; in a back issue. They were WAY ahead of bentov...
