My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

LOL! ...From that, it would appear that 'sea level rise' is NOT a really big problem where YOU are, either. ...*grin*

Ah yes, isn't that the one that gets 150 channels of HD, or some such? (Poor baby - THAT thing can't be fun to wear!)

I’m here, took some time off to write a poem and smoke a cigar (while their still legal.)
Silent hills frame the small valley below
where autumn touches all with red and gold
a river marked in shades of shimmering blue
and green lands as fall is still so new
here the winds are soft like wine so old
and mysteries are to be found you know
A place where time seems to have slowed its flow
and life is easier as one has time to learn
here the mountain flowers scent the air so soft
far below where mountains so majestic loft
here my heart takes life anew and I yearn
and breathe the life within at last you know

Right now, a brand called ‘Gold and Mild’ made from pipe tobacco. Smooth, and pleasant, a nice short smoke. For a long smoke, I like one called a ‘Romeo y Julieta’. It got a San Andres maduro wrapper. This cigar has a blend of multi-country fillers. The flavor has touches of wood and bread, has a nice moderate finish, and is about medium in body. If you smoke cigars, this is nice one for those quiet afternoons with a good book and snifter of Cognac!

Atheist in the Forest
On a Glorious Fall afternoon, an atheist was out walking through the woods...
"What majestic trees!", he thought. "What powerful rivers! ...and what beautiful animals!" ...he mused to himself, as he walked along the forest path.
As he passed alongside a river, he thought he heard a rustling in the bushes behind him. He turned to look, and was aghast to see a 7-foot grizzly bear charging towards him.
He ran as fast as he could up the path. He looked over his shoulder & saw that the bear was rapidly closing in on him.
He looked over his shoulder again, and the bear was even closer. In his haste to escape, he tripped and fell to the ground. As he rolled over to pick himself up, he saw that the bear was right on top of him, reaching out for him with his huge left paw and raising his right paw to strike him.
At that instant the Atheist cried out, "Oh my God!"
...Time Stopped. ...The bear froze. ...The forest was silent.
In that instant a bright light shone down upon the man, and a voice came out of the sky...
"You deny my existence for all these years, you teach others that I don't exist, and you even credit all of creation to mere cosmic accident. And NOW ...you expect me to help you out of this predicament? ...Am I now to count you as a true believer...?"
The atheist looked directly into the light, "It would be hypocritical of me to suddenly ask you to treat me as a Christian now, but could you... would you perhaps... make the BEAR a Christian"?
"Very Well," said the voice.
...And the light went out. ...And the sounds of the forest resumed.
...And in that instant, the bear dropped his right paw, brought both paws up together, bowed his head & spoke:
"Lord bless this food, which I am about to receive from thy bounty, through Christ our Lord, Amen."

I love to see a new Christian, especially one who is devout enough to say Grace before a meal. I wonder if that bear would like to be an Evangelist?
