SAN FRANCISCO - Barry Bonds is just a tad bitter about his departure from the San Francisco Giants.
The 43-year-old home run king heard a long list of his accomplishments read during a special speaking forum Wednesday night hosted by the Commonwealth Club, then was asked by KGO Radio host Ray Taliaferro if he'd really reached all those feats...
"I did, and then I got fired," Bonds told a group of about 450 people in the audience...

When Taliaferro asked about Bonds' many splash-hit home runs, the slugger replied, "They call it McCovey Cove, but I've rewritten it a little bit."No, Barry. It will always be McCovey Cove. Willie McCovey was an honest player with genuine talent who earned the right to the name. You are a cheating, cheap imitation who juiced his way into the record books. You probably had talent enough to at least equal Willie McCovey's records, but we'll never know for sure because you chose to cheat.

"I did, and then I got fired,"Oh, come off it Barry, you're 43, you have two bad knees, your production offensively isn't anywhere near what it used to be and we dumped gobs of salary into your back pocket.
