Better than Flu shots??
Miss Beatrice, the church organist, was in her eighties and had never been married. She was admired for her sweetness and kindness to all.
One afternoon when the pastor came to call she showed him into her quaint sitting room. She invited him to have a seat while she prepared tea.
As he sat facing her old Hammond organ, the young minister noticed a cut-glass bowl sitting on top of it. The bowl was filled with water, and in the water floated, of all things, a condom!
When she returned with tea and scones, they began to chat.
The pastor tried to stifle his curiosity about the bowl of water and its strange floater, but soon it got the better of him and He could no longer resist.
"Miss Beatrice", he said, "I wonder if you would tell me about this?" pointing to the bowl.
"Oh, yes," she replied, "Isn't it wonderful? I was walking through the Park a few months ago and I found this little package on the ground. The directions said to place it on the organ, keep it wet and that it would prevent the spread of disease. Do you know I haven't had the flu all winter."
:)
Check the glovebox.
There’s always a bloody spoon.
Concerning the SEC (Pup's supposedly killer conference) and Big Ten........What was the percentage of wins in head to head games with the two conferences last year? The last decade? What has been Michigan's record against SEC teams in the last 20 years?
Bwahahahahahahahaha..........oh the irony......
With the exception of the mug...Could be Solly’s guts.
Pretty hat. Where’s the cat who was wearing it?
groan ...
Mere coincidence? Or something more sinister? Meanwhile, I refer you to Darlin's post 621. Notice that there are 4 "Big" 10 teams in the top 25, this being generous considering how few ranked teams (10) they actually dared to play. Additionally, 1 "Big" 10 team received votes but did not make the top 25. It played 2 ranked teams.
Further note that 5 SEC teams made the top 25 and played 22 ranked opponents. Four other SEC teams received votes and played 16 ranked opponents. Notice a trend here? Like the "Big" 10 playing mostly patsies and the SEC playing real football teams?
Now tell me again about why that Michigan-Ohio State BCS do-over you groveled for last season was justified because they were the bestest teams ever by golly by gee whiz. Ohio State. Michigan. Falling fast. :>)
By the way, do you guys chant, "we're number 23"?
ps--head to head games with the two conferences
There was only one that counted:
National Champion Florida 41--Ohio State 14
1st Downs 21-8 Total Yards 370-82 Passing 214-35 Rushing 156-47 Penalties 6-50 5-50 3rd Down Conversions 10-19 1-9 4th Down Conversions 2-3 0-1 Turnovers 0 -2 Possession 40:48 -19:12
Embarrassingly one-sided. Remember? Or was it forgotten while in mourning over Michigan's similarly humiliating defeat (18-32) at the hands of USC in the Rose Bowl?
10. No one wants to come near you. 9. You can legally take sedatives. 8. You realize guests on daytime talk shows have worse lives than you do. 7. You get away with being rude, obnoxious and surly. 6. You can smell like a baboon's butt and nobody complains. 5. You can shlep about the house unwashed and in your housecoat all day. 4. No matter how bad you feel, it's still better than how you felt after last month's tequila 'n' gin party. 3. Star Trek re-runs. 2. Your dog is allowed on the bed. 1. You get to pass the virus on to those you really dislike. |
Poor Darlin'. At least you can still think of me one of your favorite, most fascinating, future loves...
Scheiße is a boy bunny...
Been rainin' a little bit here, but still very pleasant temperatures. Been able to keep the windows open for a couple of days. Wore shorts and cami today! Love it!
I had the day off today for Veteran's Day. I vote for permanent three, oh, what the heck, let's make it FOUR day weekends!I enjoyed actually getting a full nights sleep!
We ended up losing power for a little while last night. Irritating, but at least it wasn’t for a long time like last time. I can’t figure it out. We never seem to lose power during bad storms, but the mild storms with extended drizzle cause power outages. Go figure.
Sure is dark in here...
