I started out liking “The Office” better than “My Name is Earl.” But that has reversed. I think Earl is a classic; best sitcom going right now.
Saved my son from a truck accident. The pickup rolled 5 times. The medical bills were close to $100,000. Thank goodness he had good health insurance.
Me too.
I had a small sore spot on my arm for several days and I woke up one morning and my entire right arm was like Popeye. It was huge. I thought it was filling with some kind of liquid and was going to explode.
So I went to the emergency room. The lady at the desk asked what I needed. I said "I need to see a doctor." She replied, "about what?" I just showed her my arm. She took my info and told me to go sit down. With 15 other people in there, I figured I was looking at a half a day experience at best. In less than 2 minutes I was in a private room.
I said to myself, this is not good.
In the extreme delivery one would think hes nuts. BUT...
There is a modicum of truth to it. We no longer allow kids to play in the mud. We take anti-biotics for every little thing.
We use anti-bacterial soap and hand cleaners.
None of the above is actually good for you, and has led us to the infections that cant be beat today.
Too many antibiotics have led to strains of bacteria that are resistant to treatment. I no longer let my doctor give them to my kids for everything. Antibacterial soaps are proving to be more bad than good.
Years ago I had an aunt who would keep her kids out of the mud, and indoors alot. We kids who got dirty and swapped germs by sharing sodas and food were healthy. Her kids were always sick.
A persons immune system needs to be able to fight and build up. Thats the premise behind vaccinations...introduce a bug in amounts that the body can build up tolerance. By not allowing our bodies to do what they do naturally we are expanding the risks for resistant bacteria.
So hes not entirely nuts. Just a little.
If the law mandates health insurance will you purchase it?
We are required to don a gown and gloves when entering an infected patients room. Last night I had to wear a gown and booties in some lil old mans room because the bag he brought in was infested with roaches. Poor thing.
"or homeowners insurance?Yeah,
Nope. Again. I don't need it and the law does not force me to get it."
If I eat no cholesterol and excercise like a demon, then I get down to 187 from >200. I’ll hang loose for more info before going back to the stratosphere.
maybe it's just me ...
Why do you ask? Do you know them all?
All the ones I know do not believe in vaccinations or western type medicine.
Then you are not as enlightened as you think you are.
No one is forcing you to have health care, so what is the issue?
I'm not complaining about anyone forcing me to have health care. I'm complaining about those like you forcing me to pay for YOUR health care.
You want it? You pay for it.
Do you not believe that there is staph?
Absolutely I believe there is "staph" just as I believe there are lions and tigers and bears but none of them will harm me or those like me.
Or that the problem is over blown?
Well you tell me. 2 (that's TWO) people out of 300 million people have died from MRSA and the media is trying to work the country into a frenzy over a "possible" outbreak... YEAH!!! I believe it is OVERBLOWN. It is a scam that once again, I believe, draws undue attention to our alleged failing health care system. To me it sounds like the demoncraps are stirring up the pot in an attempt to get their blind lemming voters to put Hillarycare into office in '08.
If you do not wish to vaccinate your children against common childhood diseases fine, but do not suppose that somehow I am a dupe because I wish to keep my children healthy.
I have not called you a dupe. Why are you calling me one?
Oh, ya when you child gets measles, mumps or chicken pox please do not send them to school.
Not to worry. All four of my children have been homeschooled. Three of them are currently in college. All three of the ones still in college are in the honors programs of their respective programs and NOT ONE has ever had a childhood disease. We never subjected them to the cesspools of disease and ignorance you send your children to.
er...Christ died to save sinners -- that we may rejoice with HIM with our perfect bodies at the Resurrection. Until then, we live in a sin cursed world, and that includes bodies that age, get infirmed, and eventually die. Thank God for the wonderful medicines that he provides in nature, and for the wisdom that He's given doctors to develop and prescribe useful drugs, and to have the skills to sew up the wounded.
I'm as anti-medicine as the next 'New Age' guy (well, I thought I was, ... until I read your post ... for now I must kneel to you as the New Leader of the anti-medicine crowd), but there are some illness that really need powerful drugs - and Thank God that we have them -- and there are some injuries/conditions that really need surgery - and Thank God that we have skilled doctors that can perform them.
When Jeremiah lamented: 'Is there no Balm in Gilead, is there no Physician there?', it clearly was a prophetical statement regarding Christ. Nonetheless, it was appropriate because the balm came from a balsam tree, that once cut and wounded - oozed forth a resin that had great healing properties...We should not turn our back on God's gifts of medicine and intellect, as clearly as we should not turn our back on God's ultimate gift - His Son.
It is my god given right to bitch about anything and everything, regardless of how much or how little I know on the matter!
Well, there is a scam. Since cholesterol does not cause heart attacks, you are taking liver-destroying drugs for ... what purpose ?
Your doctor and pharmaceutical company thanks you for your donations.
There are many good drugs out there, but the cholesterol-lowering ones are useless.

>>> Studies are out now that say your cholesterol should be about 130 to remain healthy. Taking it that low is only done by medication. Your natural body could never take it to 97 on its own.<<<
You’re referring to total cholesterol. This other poster is referring to LDL, or “bad cholesterol.” LDL is but a component of total cholesterol.
Total cholesterol is calculated as follows:
TChol = LDL + HDL + (Triglycerides/5)
Normal LDL level run from 65-130 or so, with optimal levels being below 100, particularly for diabetics. The initial poster is right where he or she is supposed to be.
Just wow.
LOL Nice try my friend. Tell me. Can you show me anywhere in scripture where Luke practiced "medicine" AFTER he was baptized in the Holy Spirit?
Didn't think so. ;-D
Show us the conviction of your beliefs. Go to the zoo and climb into the lions den.
2!?!?!? I bet you will find better than 50 Freepers before the day is over who know someone who was killed by MRSA.
I thankfully survived my battle with it.
So this is how complete medical idiocy manifests itself.
