One good thing is as long as Congress is passing resolutions condemning this and praising that, they’re not raising our taxes or spending money.
So why didn't he vote "Nay" with the explanation that he would not vote for any legislation singling out any one particular religion at the expense of the others.
I mean, he's right, but why vote present and not put his vote in Nay column, instead of this 376 - 0 crap.
on the road to God’s Judgement.......
“My Caliphate ‘tis of thee,
sweet land of shar’ia........”
So glad my father isn’t around to see this ‘Resolution’ passed by all who didn’t say, Nay.”
I agree with you. The âPresentâ vote is a load of crapolla. One must stand for something or they stand for nothing. This truth is apparent in the 376-0 vote count.
Psssst! That’s the legislative branch. Yes, too many of them need flushing.
Yeah what you said ..........)doom on me(.......;o)
Sure, Hunter was camped out in a stall tapping.
I suppose this will encourage Muslim nations to act quickly to also recognize the holy days of Christians, Jews, Buddhists, etc.—you think?!
See http://www.twf.org for a real eye-opener. They come right out and say at http://www.twf.org/News/Y2000/1213-Election2000.html
“This was American Muslims’ first attempt at a bloc vote. An informal post-election poll...found 70 percent of Muslims voted for Mr. Bush. ...The narrow margin for victory in Election 2000, together with 152 Muslims elected mostly to local offices—92 in Texas, according to the American Muslim Alliance—has given American Muslims greater visibility on the political scene. This should increase over time as more Muslims become politically active, and as their numbers increase by birth, immigration, and reversion to Islam.”
Back in September we had another conversation about Islam—here is a brief reminder:
The Muslim Brotherhood “...presents Islam as a civilization alternative, and supports the global Islamic State wherever it is.” — from 1987 Muslim Brotherhood memorandum accepted into evidence in the U.S. v Holy Land Foundation (HLF) case. Source: http://www.investigativeproject.org/document/id/20
Islam is not a religion. As Bin Laden so clearly expressed in a recent tape, Islam is comparable to capitalism (not Christianity, Judaism, secularism, etc.).
The Republicans and Democrats both need to wake up on this one.
DUNCAN HUNTER....voted NO.........
and what was IS it that i’ve been saying about MR HUNTER....?
right on EVERY SINGLE ISSUE....EVERY SINGLE TIME..
What a nightmare all of this is. God help us. Pray for our country.
Indeed he does. He didn't get the nickname "Dr. No" for nothing. RP votes 'nay' on practically everything. Quite revealing that he voted 'yea' this time, especially in light of his recent 9/11 comments.
HRES 579 EH
Whereas Christmas is a national holiday celebrated on December 25; and
Whereas the Framers intended that the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States would prohibit the establishment of religion, not prohibit any mention of religion or reference to God in civic dialog: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved, That the House of Representatives--
(1) recognizes the importance of the symbols and traditions of Christmas;
(2) strongly disapproves of attempts to ban references to Christmas; and
(3) expresses support for the use of these symbols and traditions, for those who celebrate Christmas.
Attest:
Clerk.
(HR 579, 109th Congress. Sponsored by Rep. Jo Ann Davis, with 26 Co-Sponsors. Passed 401 - 22, 5 "present", 12/15/05.)
You left out the secular humanists! I have to say, I’d feel a lot safer if 100% of my neighbors were sechums rather than one Muslim family where the women wear burkas and the girls hajibs. Call me intolerant, but it just makes my blood run cold to see that.
